here's my state of the franchise event :

    lew - you're doing alright
alioto - you're a ********in saint to deal with this shit
    doyle - you're a ********in worthless ********
yallop - you couldnt coach your way out of a ********in paper bag with scissors in your hand

the players - we all know which ones are shit and which ones are worth keeping

and that's the state of the franchise, cockney style.

If there's any chance to ask questions, I'd like to know how it is that the Captain of the El Salvador National team is not good enough to start on the Quakes, who are clearly not the class of MLS?

Or, in a World Cup year, why were we not ready to snag a World Cup Hero (tm) from somewhere as soon as the summer transfer window opened? I don't care if we signed a Slovak or a Paraguayan. Surely, with so many players moving from one place to another we could have gotten someone good.

Or, how is it that we signed a guy we touted as high profile in Javier Robles, and then hardly played him at all?

Why do we play long-ball instead of trying to hold possession for a bit, to at last give our defense a rest?

Why do we play long-ball, even though we lose possession at least nine out of ten long passes?

Why do our coaches tell the 'keeper to boot the ball long rather than make short controlled passes or throws to our own guys to retain possession?

That's just a few questions off the top of my head.

    GO QUAKES!! :(

    - Mark

If you really feel you need to be heard you can call the front office, or better yet, go down there in person and voice your opinion. Don't need to be a STH to do that.

Yeah, I don't think it's going to be all that exclusive. Sure they asked you to RSVP, but if you did so and weren't a STH, I doubt anyone would care. Hell, I'm sure some people may wander over there before the game just to see what's up.

I could care less about the roster right now. I just want to know when are we getting our stadium. They should make that the priority of this address.

    I've got questions!

When is your deadline to find a stadium sponsor?
What do you plan to do if you don't have a sponsor by that date?

    That is all.

Actually I see this event as a great opportunity to tell the FO what we fans think of how thigns are been running in the club.

I really don't think JD will show up, he will find some exuse no to do so.

I have observed that although STHs may rant and rave on these boards they turn into softies when face-to-face with the administration and the objects of their ire.

and in the FO's ignorance, they'd take that to mean that we're all satisfied....the "lunatic fringe" made their feelings known earlier this season and people got all butthurt....future expressions of this frustration appear to be unavoidable

    answers:

    we don't have one.
    not applicable.

come on, they'd really say "if we don't have one by date X, we're selling the team" ? and if they were willing to start building it without a sponsor, they'd have started already (and then maybe they'd actually have a sponsor)

Damn right! Ask the hard questions, make them squirm under the bright light of their incompetence. Don't make me drive 220 miles down there to vent your spleens, do it yourselves!

state of the franchise: Could have made the playoffs, but the GM sat around with his thumb up his butt and is now scrambling. Coach refused to play the only quality field players we had and released them. Owner giving way to much time and rope to these clowns. fans suffering from 80% jump in the recorded cases of eyeball cancer.

The state of the franchise is pathetic. The usual excuse: injuries, weather, travel, refs. field condition, stupid owner, etc.
