Pictures from the Pirelli "Stadium" home of Burton Albion (in the Conference season before last). Very well-run lower-division club.

Watched Bayern at newly-promoted Kaiserslaitern on TV last night. 40k attendance and the stadium was rocking.

Love the way the suites are put in the corners between the horseshoe and the grandstand - gets the $$ without damping the atmosphere. Fantastic arena!!

 

Aker Stadion of Molde FK, Norway. Capacity 11,170. Check the location in the last photo. It's absolutely unbeatable!!!

 

Another land-fill stadium - why not fill in the remain lagoon just north National Airport and put a stadium there?

 

Incredible. There are some more fantastic pics on Google maps -- I can't believe a town of 25k can support this.

 

Look at the exterior -- strange. Renovated for the 2006 WC.

 

The hometown richboy Kjell Inge Røkke paid for it. To fill it you need half the population of the town and sometimes it is full. it was allmost at capasity the last time i was there in 2005.

 

Here's a Slideshow of Russian stadia for the 2018 World Cup. Pretty nifty designs there, I think. But, since they're just artists conceptions, there's no fun stuff like estimated cost. It's Russia, though, so it's probably like $3 million in building materials and $746 million in bribes.
