You mean Saturday's match? Where an expansion team that just lost three of its best players held a first place, MLS-bound squad to a draw and, in fact, outplayed them in pretty much every aspect of the game? Yeah, that sucked.

Yeah, pros don't even need coaches. They just coach themselves. Fabio Capello was just some random dude with really good seats at the World Cup.

Dude, even you don't know what you mean by this. That's just something Eurosnobs say to justify why they can't get off their butts and support their local teams.

There ain't enough  on the interwebs to carry on a conversation like this.

that's what some claimed Filho was here to do, but he was a glorified ball shagger at Man U and FFF. The guy was a joke. Ask around.

Wow this thread goes back to 2010 ( AC St. Louis). Anyway back to now. St. Louis FC has been lackluster for a while now. Schilly is a great guy by all reports but if they were thinking of making an in season coaching change, it should have happened earlier than 6 weeks before the end of the season. Our players have to score more and not allow early goals by the other team. Frankly the team has looked out of sorts at the start of several games this year. Coaching is part of that. The sense of urgency and sharp soccer skills have not been there at times this year. I wish Schilly the best of luck. I think the team's playoff chances are slim but maybe the new players and coaches can get better results. STL FC is better than their record shows.

If this team wants to be taken seriously, it has to stop being simply a top level Gallagher team.
They accomplish nothing with Leonard in charge.

Hire a coach from outside the organization.

Steve Ralston would still be considered a Gallagher guy, right?

Great group by ST Louis for the Swope Park vs St Louis game Sunday evening at Children's Mercy field. They made the atmosphere with a little help from the Swope Park Supporters, but without them there would have been zero atmosphere. The crowd was very small.

Ralston is a MLS legend and has several years of MLS assistant coaching experience. So far StL over the years have hired a brother of a "name" and a local youth coach, and now a local youth assistant coach who has a tiny bit of minor league play time. Not the same thing.
