He's over his injury and is doing well in pre-season. He did good no the little he played with Lazio so he's got some unfinished business on the field. With no Europa, it will be hard for him to start.
Atalanta 3-4 Lazio FT. Marchetti was really shaky. Should have done better on the first two goals. We were penned in our half most of the time. Confidence does not look good but we got the win and we were really clinical. Great to see Lombardi scoring. Celebration showed how much it meant to him. We have to get better defending though. We were opened up way too easily.
The truly important thing was to get the away win before we had to face Juventus this upcoming week. 2 straight losses would have looked bad to players and fans. Keeping morale high is important for this season.
Lazio 0-1 Juventus FT. A poor result but some positives in my opinion. Bastos was impressive on his debut. Really well played. We looked much more solid defensively but we did not create enough chances though. Hard against Juventus because their defence is so good. Marchetti still looks shaky. I do not think the performance was negative just the result. We just need to forget this match and move on because the other teams are not at the level of Juventus.
Good performance defensively. Thought De Vrij and Bastos were immense. We really didn't have any ideas going forwards except give the ball to FA and hope he can thread a final pass through 3 Juve players. Immobile played well too as the lone man up top. Encouraging signs thus far. Also looks like we have just signed Luis Alberto from Liverpool. Don't know much about him, except he did have 7 goals to go along with 7 assists last season for Deportivo.
