So, how accurate is this site: transfermarkt.co.uk? A recent article in Mediotiempo.com ranked all the MFL teams using information form this site: 1.- América $79,980,551 2.- Cruz Azul $61,043,244 3.- Santos $57,194,638 4.- Tigres $50,529,910 5.- Monterrey $47,996,175 6.- Pachuca $45,700,065 7.- Morelia $43,637,592 8.- Toluca $42,125,132 9.- Chivas $42,125,132 10.- Atlas $41,618,472 11.- Pumas $40,463,205 12.- Atlante $39,853,412 13.- San Luis $38,007,342 14.- Jaguares $32,938,600 15.- Estudiantes $30,263,186 16.- Puebla $29,394,386 17.- Querétaro $25,198,656 18.- Indios $23,460,818 - Veracruz $16,371,116 - Necaxa $15,183,760 So, I pulled some MLS teams from there: - Toronto FC $14,895,916 - LA Galaxy $10,146,493 - Houston Dynamo $7,196,095 - DC United $6,148,476 - Chicago Fire $5,469,032
Well, 2 quarters of Houston were sold for $10M each not too long ago. Chicago and DC for something like $30M a few years ago. And of course Portland and Vancouver paid roughly $30M to get into the league. Take from that what you will.
Yeah, but youre talking about club values, the original post pertains to "squad value" or the transfer values of all the players added together (I believe).
Ah, my apologies. You could probably buy all the players in MLS for the price of Club America then, and still have change to bribe Jack Warner for the right to host the next World Cup
