First 1BL level clean sheet for Julian Pollersbeck. It's also his 5th consecutive start for HSV.

To be promoted to 2BL side, Paderborn's keeper Leopold Zingerle with his 17th clean sheet of the season. He's also kept his opponents scoreless for half of his 34 starts.

have to say that's tempting prospect.
either a 2nd German keeper in EPL or 2nd German keeper in La Liga or the 1st German Keeper in Serie A...

although not an Arsenal fan and do find their interest in almost every German player annoying.

looks like Jannik Huth is staying longer in the Eredivisie from his loan as Sparta are now headed towards the relegation playoffs. I'm sure the experience did him good to play with a team with a terrible defense. Lost 3-1 in his 2nd to last game which includes an own goal from a defender.

meanwhile Timon Wellenreuther kept his 2nd clean sheet of the season in a 1-0 win. Was a starter at the beginning of the season but then lost his place for making blunders. Recently he got the position back and seems to be doing a lot better. Looks like being dropped was important for his dev just like it was for Karius at Liverpool.

meanwhile, Vlachodimos seems to have only 1 game left in Greek football before he supposedly moves to Benfica.

looks like Wellenreuther made a couple of Eredivisie squad of the week as the keeper in the XI.

According to BILD, Neuer couldn't practice the whole last week, only returning to a soft team training today. The last plan to let him play the last two Bundesliga games is dust, he probably can play the last matchday, though. Neuer also had a MRT screening the last week. Not looking good.

there is still the Cup final and the 2 friendly games before the WC. So he could end up with 4 games played before the WC.

Neuer needs to accept that he won't play at the WC. He has no match practice, and should be a leader by taking himself out of contention. MaTS can handle the duty in his absence.

and with the Greek League over, this should be it for Odysseas Vlachodimos in Greece. Next move is supposed to be Benfica!

Karius wins German Football Ambassador award.

The 24-year-old was shortlisted for the prize, which honours German coaches and players who are working abroad and convey a positive image of the country around the world, earlier this year.

And Karius was confirmed as the recipient of the accolade – which is decided by a public vote – at a ceremony in Berlin on Tuesday night.

“The award means a lot to me because it’s a tribute to my achievements in England,” said the Reds’ No.1, who will end the 2017-18 Champions League campaign with the most clean sheets.
