Willem II complete the club option to extend Wellenreuther for an additional year 📝 Willem II licht optie in contract van doelman Timon Wellenreuther https://t.co/0W4FIIsTAv #Wellenreuther— Willem II (@WillemII) March 1, 2019
Rangnick pretty much shitting on Marius Muller. Pretty much says that they see Mvogo as future #1 and that they could see him go on loan in Summer so that he can play. https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/...r-rangnick-gibt-mvogo-frei-60631052.bild.html of course German GKs at RB Leipzig is your #3 and #4 GK and that's 2 players out of the required 12 in there, lol.
Gladbach's Moritz Nicolas and St. Pauli's Svend Brodersen are the 2nd and 3rd GK called up for the U21 NT currently to back up Florian Müller. Both Nicolas and Brodersen still lack experience for their respective club's senior team. Wonder if they will become good pro keepers later on in their career.
Mathenia and Esser linked with a possible move to Fortuna this summer https://www.transfermarkt.de/c-math...m/154/thread_id/1039517/page/1#anchor_2524135
Marius Gersbeck made his comeback from cruciate ligament injury. Although looks likely he'll be leaving Hertha this summer for better playing opportunities https://www.ligainsider.de/mobile/marius-gersbeck_3183/comeback-nach-kreuzbandriss-266302/
While another Hertha based keeper, Nils Körber could stay with Osnabrück in their promotion to 2BL, go to another 2BL club or VVV Venlo in the Eredivisie https://www.ligainsider.de/mobile/nils-koerber_6229/anfragen-aus-venlo-und-der-2-liga-266300/
looks like VVV really want a German replacement to Unnerstall. it's easiest to just stay at Osnabruck but if he goes to VVV and does well could help him land a better gig at top flight division better than 2BL would.
Leipzig's Julian Krahl could be on his way to Köln. While Jan Christoph Bartels may be on his way out https://www.liga-zwei.de/1-fc-koeln-kommt-ein-neuer-keeper/
I think the issue is what's the point of staying in Koln when it's unlikely Horn will be displaced? Horn isn't old at all, turns 26 in May and has a contract until 2023. Would not be surprising to me at all if Horn plays his whole career at Koln, has been playing Koln since 2002, almost 20 years now and born there too.
Alex Nübel with a clean sheet victory vs Hannover 💬 #Nübel: Mir hat es heute richtig Spaß gemacht.

Alex Nübel with several big saves even stopping a penalty to help Schalke rescue a point vs Nürnberg https://www.kicker.de/news/fussball...ericht_1-fc-nuernberg-81_fc-schalke-04-2.html
Schalke wants to keep Nübel long term his current contract runs until 2020 https://www.ligainsider.de/mobile/a...chalke-will-nuebel-langfristig-halten-267864/
Nübel's agent, Stefan Backs: "Alex has the right to think about it. Contracts are not one-sided. [...] Should Schalke and Alex - as with Neuer - generate a large transfer fee, the club will have done good business." #S04— Schalke Daily (@S04Daily) April 17, 2019
Hertha are open towards selling Marius Gersbeck but only with a buy back clause https://www.ligainsider.de/mobile/m...reinswechsel-nur-mit-rueckkaufklausel-268330/

Schubert rules out RB Leipzig as he's a Dresdener and doesn't want to be connected to a regional rival city http://www.fussballtransfers.com/nachricht/schubert-stellt-klar-kein-rb-wechsel_103458
no point in going there since RB are only using him to get a back up with experience and he fits the we need more German players signed up. but why not just promote Krahl? Or wait for Schreiber?
Kevin Trapp wants to stay at Eintracht Frankfurt http://www.fussballtransfers.com/nachricht/eintracht-trapp-will-bleiben_103477
Dennis Smarsch could make his pro debut in Hertha's final 2 matches as Jarstein is out for the season and needs knee surgery https://m.bild.de/sport/fussball/fu...erthas-rune-jarstein-61681072.bildMobile.html
