With Robert Glatzel heavily linked with a move to the first division, here's a look at who to potentially watch for in the 2BL next season: Janni Serra, has gotten interest from clubs in 1BL will he stay with Kiel for another season or make the jump Felix Platte, will no longer be eligible and considered as a youth Can he finally remain healthy and consistent enough Daniel Hanslik, getting his first chance at a higher level with Holstein Kiel Florian Krüger, hope he continues to build on his game at Aue Manuel Wintzheimer, HSV is clearing house so he should get more chances Torles Knoll, needs to stay healthy and find further consistency Still uncertain of what happens but I think Christoph Daferner needs to spend some time in 2BL
Still not set in stone where they will land next season and if they confirm promotion with one match day left but Paderborn's Phillip Tietz has done fairly well on loan at CZ Jena in the 3.Liga. Scored 11 goals and is basically tied among several players for 8th in the scoring charting for the whole division while playing for a struggling team. Will be interesting to see if they plan with him for next season
Nürnberg are interested in Ducksch http://www.fussballtransfers.com/nachricht/bundesliga-absteiger-an-ducksch-interessiert_103975
1BL 1-Werner, 16 goals and 10 assists in 30 games 2-Volland, 14 goals and 12 assists in 34 games 3-Kruse, 11 goals and 10 assists in 32 games 4-Petersen, 10 goals and 3 assists in 24 games 5-Waldschmidt, 9 goals and 3 assists in 30 games 6-Hennings, 7 goals and 4 assists in 29 games 7-Gomez, 7 goals and 2 assists in 31 games 8-Ginczek, 6 goals and 4 assists in 24 games (injury issues) 9-Weydandt, 6 goals and 2 assists in 28 games 10-J.Eggestein, 4 goals and 2 assists in 24 games 11-Niederlechner, 4 goals and 1 assist in 24 games 12-Holer, 4 goals in 27 games 13-Selke, 3 goals and 9 assists in 30 games (injury issues) 14-Stindl, 3 goals and 3 assists in 21 games (injury issues) 15-Skrzybski, 3 goals and 1 assist in 12 games (injury issues) 16-Uth, 2 goals and 2 assists in 20 games (injury issues) 17-Fullkrug, 2 goals and 1 assist in 14 games (injury issues) 18-Kutucu 2 goals in 13 games (provisionally capped by Turkey) 19-Palacios Martinez, 2 goals in 17 games 19-Knoll, 1 goal and 1 assist in 15 games 20-Philipp, 1 goal and 1 assist in 18 games 21-Schieber, 1 goal in 9 games 22-Kopke, 1 assist in 7 games bolded is for players still youth eligible. We ended up with 3 of the top 10 being youth eligible including J.Eggestein making it. Relegation: Knoll, Martinez,Weydandt and Gomez at risk of relegation.
Of players in (potential) NT focus, Werner and Volland are the two main positives in what has been a rather tough season for German strikers. Waldschmidt also showed substantial improvement which is important as he is in the final year of U21 eligibility and will become a full fledged senior. In 2BL Serra has shown that he should get a chance to be among the first division next season. Shame that injuries have derailed the season for Uth, Fuellkrug and Ginczek. Selke's injury suffered around March caused him to fall out of form and ended up losing his place. While injuries pretty much made it a lost season for Kleindienst, Platte and Seydel. Ducksch only scored once all season in Buli matches so I'd expect him to move to 2BL
biggest surprise is Weydandt, would be surprising if he doesn't get picked up by another club. J.Eggestein also showed plenty of improvements after a few lost/wasted seasons. Besides Serra, lyoha and Kruger have made + contributions this season. And not too bad for Wintzheimer. Wouldn't say it was an amazing season for Reese but he at least finally got productive in 2BL, it's a start. 22nd place should have been D.Otto but he got robbed of an assist by Kramaric who stole Belfodil's goal just to get a new record at Hoff. Also disappointing not see more 99s and 00s being given a chance. I mean why didn't Malone get a chance to make his debut today for Augsburg or Daferner get more game time? Daferner seems likely headed out either permanently or on loan to 2BL.
From 3.Liga; Kyereh, Kühlwetter and Tietz were the youth eligible strikers that had the most productive season. All 3 should look towards taking a leap ahead next campaign. Kyereh still has a chance to rise with Wehen in the promotion playoff spot for 2BL. Tietz on loan from Paderborn also has different possibilities
what I think is interesting is the growing number of 96 strikers who seem too good for 3rd Liga and lower. 1BL: Werner, Waldschmidt 2BL: Platte, Seydel (needs another 2BL go) Hanslik (RL Nord top scorer) is going to 2BL. Kyereh, Kuhlwetter from 3rd Liga could get 2BL movements. Duker should be given 2BL chances as well. Sulejmani doesn't play for Germany (provisionally capped by Kosovo) also doing very well in RL that he could move up. that's 9 96 strikers. as for Tietz, either Paderborn trusts him if they get promotion to 1BL or he goes on 2BL loan.
just noticed that Kuhlwetter was playing his 1st season in 3rd Liga this season and did very well. Spent the last 4-5 seasons in RL-OL. Kyereh also played his 1st 3rd Liga season in 2018-2019. Spent the last 4 seasons in RL.

FCN also reportedly interested in bringing Ducksch for next season. If they can sign him and have Knöll, Lohkemper, Palacios as secondary or alternatives then they could be pretty competitive in 2BL and contend for promotion spots
