Pierre-Michel Lasogga scored his 9th goal of the season in the Championship in a 2-2 draw. Fast approaching the top 10.
He also has played between 5-12 games less than all the ones above him.

whether people like Gomez or not, it's still impressive that Gomez is now only 20 goals away from breaking into the top 10 1BL all time scorers list. Currently he's at 157 while to break in, you need 177 at the min, since Lewa who's currently 10th will surpass the 2 guys on 177, it's why 177 is the min.

Let's be honest if he had never played in Italy for 2 seasons and 1 season in Turkey he would already have broken through the top 10 list. Even one of those 3 seasons was him being out for huge chunk of the season.

In terms of very successful German strikers, Klose, Kuranyi, Kiessling and Gomez are the ones who did well over the last like 18 years. With Gomez being the most successful German from that list, in terms of club football. That's not a big list.

seems like Werner is our next big German striker, fast approaching 50 1BL goals, currently 6 away while only being 21.

Marvin Ducksch scores his 13th goal of the season in 2BL. To now be the sole top scorer on the scoring table.

    2BL top scorer race
    13: Marvin Ducksch (23), Steven Skrzybski (25)
    12:Sebastian Polter (26), Mikael Ishak (24) he's also out until April 9.

then it goes down to the 10 mark. Ishak is the only non-German from the list and even in the top 10. Ages seem between 23-26 or 91-94 age groups. I'm hope Ducksch wins it, it's been a long time since any player on the younger side won the 2BL top scorer and he seems to be the only one who could still contribute to the German NT.

    I hope this doesn't happen.

Schalke already has Uth, Teuchert, Reese, and Kruger and 5 non Germans strikers (some currently on loan). There is no need for another German striker even if some of these 9 strikers leave or get loaned out.

Davie Selke is currently out of EL but he's the 2nd best striker in EL in terms of goals per minute behind only Immobile.

Selke 1 goal every 60 minutes in EL.
Immobile 1 goal every 54 minutes in EL.

He also scored 4/6 of Hertha's goals. They failed to score any goals until he came back from injury and he also scored in every game he played in EL.

Werner 3 goals and 1 assist in 3 games in EL
Selke 4 goals in 3 games in EL

It's nice to see young German strikers doing well in Europe. Both strikers contributing to 4 goals in 3 games in the same competition. Werner is doing well in both CL and EL, while Selke did well in EL. Werner played his 1st ever CL this season while this is Selke's 1st ever season in Europe.

Selke also needs 1 more goal to hit 10 goals in all competition.

I've been saying that when Gomez was at Wolfsburg this season he never looked happy at all. Which is why his move didn't surprise me. Since then he's seems more rejuvenated player, guess he needed to go back home.

    At Stuttgart this season
6 goals and 2 assists in 10 games.
