Ive made up a striker list who we shall pay attention to: 1995: Davie Selke, Tim Kleindiest 1996: Timo Werner, Aaron Seydel, Felix Platte 1997: Cedric Teuchert, Leandro Putaro, Torless Knoll 1998: Johannes Eggestein, Janni Serra, Christoph Daferner, Tobias Warschewski 1999: Florian Kruger, David Otto, David Nieland, Wintzheimer 2000: Fiete Arp, Jesaja Herrmann, Franck Evina, Eric Hottmann, Maurice Malone 2001: Malik Memisevic, Bleart Dautaj 2002: David Hummel, Ware Pakia, Jan Thielmann, Karim Adeyemi, Nick Woltemade 2003: Emrehan Gedikli, Sadjad Rezai 2004: Yousouffa Moukoko Did i leave out any major talent?
96'er Julius Düker has been making strides this season, and Magdeburg look poised to rise into 2BL. Likewise 97'er Phillip Tietz has just moved to Paderborn, and are the 3BL other club who are in good contention for promotion. Both former Braunschweig prospects. From the 99's, Torben Müsel looks like a player who Kaiserslautern intend to be integrating.
95-Palacios Martínez, with his move to FCN, who are in contention to get promoted, can't ignore him. 96-Luca Waldschmidt 97-Cagatay Kader 00-Awuku 01-Paul Glatzel, Liverpool. maybe not major talents, but could still end up being decent/solid options.
I think Kader is on pretty much the same level as Elias Huth and Emmanuel Iyoha right now. Players all working to still establishing themselves at the 3BL level. Although Kader hasn't been getting playing time. Presumably it might have something to do with work ethic (?). Looks like Enis Bunjaki still hasn't been able to find a new club yet.
Interesting to see that former Gladbach prospect, 97-born Dennis Eckert is now at Celta de Vigo in Spain. He's been playing with their reserve squad this season. According to TM, he may have Spanish eligibility as well. Perhaps from his mother. https://www.transfermarkt.com/dennis-eckert/profil/spieler/249303 Recent report on him: https://www.lavozdegalicia.es/notic...is-delantero-boya/00031512926729038485968.htm
I actually think 1999 was a good year for strikers. I m very confident that David Otto n Florian Kruger will make it in Bundesliga 1998 was suposedly nice as well. Jojo Eggestein n Janni Serra are both slightly behind schedule. I have a feeling that Kruger and David Otto are more” sure thing” than both 98ers now; 2000 is interesting. Other than Arp, there are many strikers who are very versatile and capable to play multiple positions like Jesaja Herrmann, Evina, Malone and Awuku. This gives them bigger chance to emerge in first team, but not necessarily as strikers. Luc Ihorst is also doing well for Werder Bremen this season 2001 is a very weak year for striker talents. Apparently Biskup, Grimm n Dajaku are options for the u17 now but I don’t see too high upside from these kids. Dajaku is better but I think he’s better off as a supporting forward or left wing. Well , even Memisevic n Dautaj aren’t striker talents who “wow” people like the strikers from other age groups did (Timo Werner, F.Kruger, Eggestein, David Otto, Arp, Jesaja Herrmann...when they were in B-Jugend ) 2002 have a similar situation like 2000 I guess. 2003 we have two top prospects in Gedikli and Rezai (not sure about his status but looks like his profile on DFB.de listed him as German already) . Dortmund’s Tekin Cencoglu is another name worth mentioning. Might be a very strong year for strikers 2004 we have Youssoufa Moukoko . So we are all set
is Rezai a striker or RW? Both? seems to be doing well in the Spanish 3rd division. In terms of strikers he's the 2nd youngest in the scoring charts. With 19 year old Dani Gomez only 1 goal ahead. Still given his club Celta isn't a Real or Barca, he has decent chances to make the 1st team eventually.
what about? 01-Jabez Makanda is he not eligible yet? also Benedict Hollerbach from 01 year. 02-Moritz Schweinstetter I'm sure plenty more will come out in the next few years. Some might not seem like much now, but who knows about their future progress.
Benedict Hollerbach isn’t even a regular starter for Bayern U17 , so it’s hard to call him a top rospect for his age No news on Makanda being eligible yet I think.
started the last 3 games though where he had 3 goals and 2 assists. Doesn't have to be a top prospect still a decent potential player. honestly after Wagner made the NT, hard to dismiss any player for not being a top prospect.
47 - Nils #Petersen has scored 47% of @scfreiburg league goals this season, the highest share for a #Bundesliga player in 2017-18 (8/17). Talisman. pic.twitter.com/mee5Xswntc— OptaFranz (@OptaFranz) January 8, 2018 4.8 - @Mark_Uth (@achtzehn99_en) has scored a league high 4.8 goals more than expected in the #Bundesliga 2017-18. Ruthless.https://t.co/VukWRwtQHo pic.twitter.com/egfHz3p7fL— OptaFranz (@OptaFranz) January 9, 2018
Mark Uth also wasn't necessarily known as a top prospect back in his early days, and did not have a large role with the youth NT's back then. Appears that others like other 91'ers: Lasogga, Mlapa, Ginczek, Polter we're once rated higher than him. But at this stage of their careers, it's quite clear that Uth has set himself apart from his peers. With that as another example, we'll likely see more strikers establish themselves in their early to mid-20's. So players shouldn't be written off too early.
I think the biggest danger is if that's what happens to a dual national. A player like Uth's only option is Germany but a player who was dual unless they are very adamant about making the German NT, would have jumped ship years ago.
Well it depends. Like Jabez Makanda and Sadjad Rezai for example, they might not wanna play for Angola or Afghanistan anyway so they might wait until their chances come. Dautaj too, will play for Germany ahead of Kosovo if both parties are interested Turkey and Bosnia might be trickier, but in recent years it’s proven that if both DFB n Turkey are fighting for one player, DFB might have the slight edge over Turkey still. Guven Yalcin and Memisevic are two players who neglected by DFB, but I think they will make DFB regret in the future

Lucas Höler has a chance to be in Freiburg's starting XI already. He's drawn good praise from coach Streich since joining them this winter. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...ch-lobt-hoeler_fokussiert-ruhig-hoert-zu.html https://www.ligainsider.de/lucas-hoeler_6593/streich-startelfeinsatz-ist-denkbar-236238/
lol about Wagner at Bayern, Lewa is out and even then he's on the bench as Muller starts ahead of him. Not a smart move heading into the WC. Although being a super sub could still work to his favor.
