I seem to remember a few years ago a Chelsea(?) player did similar. ball boy laid down on the ball, and I cannot remember who it was but they pushed the kid and got booked for it I don't like it when ball boys try to influence the match by holding the ball, tbh. either get the ball and give it up, or don't go get it at all
Ah the dark arts of ball-boying, from the school of Tony Pulis and Big Sam...It was Eden Hazard at Swansea, he got sent off I think. But our lad was actually bringing the ball to our player. To dare is to do, even for the ball-boys
Christ when I’m wrong, I’m really wrong … I’m not even going to fall back on my caveat here to save a little bit of face.
ah ok, thx for clarifying. I was not able to watch the match, just followed the pbp text edit: found the video still ticks me off, the kid was clearly playing the fool, and while didn't deserve a kick in the ribs, the kid shouldn't be allowed back again either, IMO. its the refs job to spot that shenanigans and put a stop to it
Yeah, we had a throw in their half so the lad wasn't trying to waste time, don't know why Success went over, but it ended up wasting more time for us.
Here is the top of the table after 24 matches: 1. Liverpool 61 2. Man City 56 3. Tottenham 54 4. Chelsea 47 5. Arsenal 47 6. Man U 45 Have our game and the Chelsea game on PVR, I may allow myself a little glass of brandy tonight. As the great Jackie Gleason once said: "How sweet it is!!!"
this has been the main problem all season, IMO. first few months it was the last 15 minutes of matches. now in the last month or two, its been a first half problem
He was a bit slow to the ball and then tripped/fell when Hazard barged in to him, but it didn’t seem particularly egregious and certainly no worse than players holding on to a slender lead do.
Enjoyed seeing how the players celebrated with Llorente as well. Reminded me a bit of Soldado. Fingers crossed it will have more dividends than Bobby’s much celebrated goal.
