We will be without Ndombele, Foyth, Dele and Sessegnon. Son is available for selection following his 3-match ban. Will Jan Vertonghen get into the team? Will Lo Celso make his first start?
Needs to be a statement win, right? I expect Son will start and Moura will make room for him. With Lamela and Eriksen, behind Kane. Shame to miss Ndombele but we really shouldn't be relying on that to beat Newcastle. Still having nightmares about that Tim Krul game back in the day. You know the one.
Steve Bruce is living a nightmare at the moment, and it's only going to get worse. If we don't stuff them, I'll be mildly surprised and rather disappointed. They're shite.
While Lamela has played well and started the season in good form, must admit I'm looking forward to the day Son, Kane and Lucas form the front 3; get the ball up to those three with decent service and there's no defence in the world who could comfortably deal with them. Maybe tomorrow is the day. Lack of bodies in midfield could see Eriksen play there (with Winks and Sissoko). Despite the players missing or not ready yet, that's a hell of a team to let loose on a pretty poor Newcastle.
20 minutes in, but it's Spurs with all the possession and no cutting edge. a dynamic that's becoming a little too familiar. Kane can't even get a touch. far too early in game or season to make such complaints, but I'll post it anyway in the hopes that it'll soon make me look daft.
I'm sure they looked at that monstrosity built by London Red and thought "How else can we make them look silly?"
It really is. I joked with friends prior to the CL final we wouldn’t start playing until we went behind. I was half right.
Frustrating because for Pochettino’s first few seasons Spurs had the best or near best defensive record in the league.
I’ve mentioned this before but when LA we’re building their stadium Klinsmann took a contingent of AEG executives to White Hart Lane to show how important the roof was for atmosphere.
the disparity between the slightest of touch for handball vs what gets allows for a penalty is weird.
