Spurs unveil their brand new stadium tomorrow with the visit of Liverpool...oops. Ok, back to fortress Wembley, where we have only lost 2 of 20 PL fixtures.

However, this will be a massive test against a much-improved Liverpool than the side we turned over 4-1 last October in the correpsponding fixture.

We will be without Hugo Lloris, who is out with a thigh injury again and was fined £50,000 for drink driving, plus fined 2 weeks wages by the club. From desciptions from the court, he is lucky he wasn't seriously injured or killed and didn't seriously injure or kill anyone else, such was his state of intoxication.

We are also without Deli, who picked up an injury on international duty (why Fifa needs to schedule a meaningless round of internationals so close to the end of the WC is beyond me). The good news is that Son is back after having to particpate in an equally useless tournament at the Asian Games, but at least by winning the competition, the South Korean players were able to procure an exemption from mandatory military service.

The meltdown at Vicarage Road (our first loss after scoring first in the PL for 33 fixtures dating back to 2016), means there is more pressure on this game. Curiously, all 4 goals we have conceded this season have come from headers, which shouldn't be happening considering the CBs we have. The start of a big week then, with a trip to the San Siro to face Inter in the CL.

    COYS!

Dreadful performance from start to finish. The possession in the first half was misleading as it was possession without purpose.

I think Poch got the lineup wrong going, looked like we were set up to draw.

Everyone looked very sloppy with Dier being the worst of the bunch.

2 losses on the trot and 6 points behind the league leaders. That United result is looking like a false dawn.

Pretty much sums up the way I feel.

The lessons from Vicarage Road were not learned as we shipped yet another sloppy goal from a set piece and continued our habit of giving the ball away in midfield. Case in point was the opening goal when we gave the ball away twice in the build-up at a point when we were just starting to control the game.

The win at Old Trafford, instead of being a platform to bigger and better things, has had the opposite effect, with the lads looking jaded and complacent.

Watched from the start of the second half to the 2nd Liverpool goal. Yeah, not inspiring stuff. Not even a reason to believe.

Too little too late...Plus two garbage goals that really should’ve been saved. Can’t say Vorm looks that great back there but his playing time has been limited. Danny Rose needs to clean up his sloppy passing in the final 1/3... wasted scoring chances.
