Spurs return to Wembley to host undefeated Chelsea after the international break. The good news for us is the return of Vertonghen to partner Toby, who will be able to move back to his preferred slot of right CB, but Trippier, Sanchez, Rose and Dembele are all still out, which is a concern considering we will be playing every 3 or 4 days up until early January. From watching the highlights of the recent England games, the pitch looks much improved which should make for a cracking game. COYS!
Sprightly Spurs Getting Goals. COYS! We owned the pace of the match, particularly early on. Keep it up for the half!
We're absolutely bossing this, no question we're just a better side than them. Full stop, better than them. Why am I so nervous at 2 0 up?
Most dangerous lead in soccer... and Chelsea has seriously skilled players that can turn this around on a dime.
A complete 90 minutes. Result aside it was nice to see the team play well for a full match and avoid too many costly mistakes and end of game nerves.
Read the first 6 posts and thought the match was mostly done...didn't realize it was only the first 16 minutes.
The only shame about this game is that the scoreline doesn't accurately reflect how badly we humiliated those bastards.
I like beating Chelsea is still an important win, but it’s not the “result of the season” as it mighty have been a few years ago.
And, that's a good thing. We should be a team for which wins against top clubs is never a surprise. This match showed a Spurs I want to watch: Energetic, quick decisions, punishing of the other side's mistakes, tough to push around.
