After 2 memorable games in Manchester, Spurs return home to host 4th bottom Brighton & Hove Albion who are managed by one of our greats from the past, Chris Hughton. The Albion are clinging to a 3 point lead over 18th placed Cardiff, following a run of just 1 point from their last 6 games that has dragged them to the brink of relegation. When this fixture was confirmed for the new stadium, I was hoping they would have done the business by now and come to the new ground with their summer flip-flops on, but that has turned out to be wishful thinking. Based on results from the weekend, there are no sure things in this league and Spurs will need to show up and be professional to claim the 3 points.

was just thinking very much the same. Brighton will be setting up to get something from this game. they can do it well, and will be difficult to break down.

but we've got to take all three points, here.

What unforeseen events would have to occur for Janssen to get playing time? Still, good for him that he's back in the 18.

That old formational chestnut, the 4-1-0-0-2-3. Last seen featuring Gica Popescu and Ilie Dumitrescu.

Janssen the only attacking option on the bench because they're all in the treatment room or on the pitch.

Here are the teams! With all the injuries (Sissoko, Lamela, Kane, Aurier), the team picks itself. They have some key players out in Propper, Izquierdo and Knockeart. Watch for Pascal Gross in their midfield, he can pick a pass, while Stephens will shield their back 4 which is anchored by the solid pair of Dunk and Duffy. Up front, Bissouma has had a breakthrough season.

    Tottenham

    Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose

    Brighton
