Another monstrous performance from Moussa Sissoko tonight. Surely the “comeback player of the season” in the Premier League. What an incredible turnaround this has been in his Tottenham career. He was mocked for so long, but has been superb in a deeper CM role. #THFC #UCL— Joe Prince-Wright (@JPW_NBCSports) April 9, 2019
The big positive to come out of this game wasn't getting the win. The big positive was keeping the clean sheet and not allowing an away goal. It sucks to lose Kane but as we've seen this season, it's not the end of the world. Everybody else seems to step up when he's out.
Just watched the highlights... Was it just the way the highlights were, or did Spurs have more chances in the first half? Some questionable officiating. The Rose penalty/card and then the non-call v. Dele. Did Kane start heading down the tunnel before Poch knew he was injured? If it was that quick, that's bad. I hope Son ends his career at Spurs. I'm sure Cyrill "Nice one son" Knowles hopes so.
that is one of the great moments in my life...i was watching the replay not knowing what happened and i forced myself to watch the remaining moments not fast forwarding so as to not jinx the result.
Y'all know that guy ended up in prison with life sentences for kidnapping? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rollen_Stewart
it was alright. good stuff. atmosphere was great - as you'd expect. how'd it sound on the telly? i thought the home fans were pretty strong and heard nothing from city. but i was in the middle of the south stand, so i guess you'd expect that. a couple pints after in The Ship up the High Road went down well, also. good atmosphere there, as well.
I was fortunate enough to watch that match live. Not often to I end up jumping up and down when at home. I had forgotten that, specifically, but knew something unfavorable happened to him. I was thinking more like bankruptcy, loss of job/business/generally being poor after having done fairly well. Something like that. Not the kidnapping.
ah ok, I was thinking of a CL match, not one that got spurs into CL and yes, I am still bitter with Crouch being sent off so early against RM in that CL match
Sounds great on the telly - I had almost forgotten what a home atmosphere was like for a Spurs game - some of the games at Wembley, you could hear the players calling to each other it was that quiet. And it was great to hear the supporters singing the traditional songs like "We're the Park Lane, we're the Park Lane..."
