I'll say: ............….Lloris Tripps - Toby - Verts - Rose .........Winks - Sissoko Eriksen - Dele - Son .........…...Kane gotta be, dunnit? anyway, we are in the quarterfinals of the Champions League and anything can happen. I'd've preferred anybody but City, to be honest, but what can you do? we're in it with a shout. we just need to play well and give ourselves a chance. and I - I think I may have mentioned this once or thrice - will be there. south stand - block 453 - row 72 - seat 456. I'll give you fellas a wave. COYS!!
I was kidding, bro. there's no way anyone's gonna pick anyone out from the middle of the south stand. even the dude with the rainbow wig and the John 3:16 sign* wouldn't have got picked up if he wasn't in the front few rows. *have I dated myself, here?
I know. I was giving it right back. Yeah, a John 3:16 sign would stand out (and yes, I remember those days, too).
Try an Arsenal shirt, that would get you noticed I sincerely hope you know I'm joking. I have a root canal tomorrow morning. Let's hope the afternoon is less painful.
Don't like Trippier at RB. Pep would just play Sane or Sterling out left and have them run behind all day long. Even against Palace, the few chances they created came from his flank.
Here are the teams! Tottenham: Lloris; Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Sissoko, Winks; Eriksen, Alli, Son; Kane. Subs: Gazzaniga, Foyth, Davies, Sanchez, Wanyama, Lucas, Llorente. Manchester City: Ederson; Walker, Laporte, Otamendi, Delph; Fernandinho, Gundogan, D Silva; Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling. Subs:Muric, Kompany, Stones, De Bruyne, Sane, Jesus, Foden. Referee: Bjorn Kuipers (Netherlands) Dier, Lamela and Aurier are out injured for us. Looks like a back 4 for us, which worries me because Trippier is a major liability at RB; I am sure Pep will play Sterling on the left. Looking at their bench, I would say at least 4 of them would walk into ours or anyone else's starting XI. And Bernardo Silva doesn't even make their team!
Ederson kicks the ball from his own area 70 yards up the pitch. From the throw-in, Silva is played in but he was off-side. Remember VAR is in play.
For the first time, Sterling runs at Trippier, beats him easily but the shot is diverted wide for a corner.
Still don't understand VAR, it is supposed to be a clear and obvious error, none of the City players appealed.
On the replay, Rose was actually pulling his arm away and there was no way he could have avoided hitting the ball. Dreadful decision from VAR.
