Another early game, another chance to go 4 points behind and put the pressure back on Chelsea. Kane starts, Walker back. Son is in such good form that he plays at the expense of the back 3 (Wanyama the unlucky one to miss out). Lloris Walker Alderweireld Vertonghen Davies Dier Dembele Son ------- Alli ------- Eriksen Kane Lopez, Wimmer, Onomah, Sissoko, Janssen, Trippier, Wanyama
Worrying over a player getting poached by a bigger club is nothing new for Spurs, but this is the first time I can remember concern for the manager.
how good are Spurs right now? Arse fans have to be shitting bricks when they think about coming to the Lane in a couple weeks.
If we maintain the nominal 11 point gap over the next round of fixtures (us at Crystal Palace, them home v Leicester) we can finish them off mathematically with a win at WHL. 17 points. Don't care about games in hand, get the ******** out of North London with your Henry Norris bullshit. North London is OURS.
I'm less worried about Poch leaving then Harry leaving. Poch has brought in Son, Alde, Alli, Winks, Dier Davies Wanyama. He is has developed Spur to be one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the EPL. He has a new stadium coming his way. And he generally seems to be enjoying his time at Spurs. He is more of a Sir Alex type manager (develop the entire club) than a Jose (bring in the best players), which suggests he will stay for a while.
Yeah I did consider that and I can't argue against it. Outside of the navel gazing English FA, Harry wasn't ever a prospect for a bigger team than Spurs. Poch really could be a target for any top team in Europe.
Agreed. He really couldn't ask for more, but the big clubs will come sniffing around. Next season will be tricky, but I think he'll want to get a trophy and see the new stadium open at a bare minimum.
7 straight wins home and away. 12 straight home wins. Beating last year's points total with 6 games to spare. Joint highest scorers, least goals conceded. Kane with 20+ goals for 3 straight seasons. What a time to be alive.
Not to mention we have THREE players going to end the season with 20+ goals in all competitions, and a 4th has 17 assists to his name. That really is outstanding.
What a difference putting Dier in midfield is. He's best when he has the freedom to go forward or drop back as the situation dictates.
we got rid of Ledley King and Michael Dawson, and I guess he felt his work here was done. come on back, Hauler! you can tell us why we should get shot of Toby and Verts.
And don't forget that spectacular, almost brand new training facility - that's where everybody goes to work most days and it is really nice.
This seems like the best place for this article... http://www.espnfc.com/club/tottenha...ky-high-pochettino-building-winning-mentality
yeah, that was something that has impressed me lately. we happened to demolish a number of teams lately and every time when i read interviews with their players/coach many of them reiterated that spurs are by no argue the best team in the country and it's so hard to play against them. let's be clear - not that other teams are so weak, but spurs are so strong in imposing their will, strength, and desire on them! proud to be a spurs fan, i believe!
