I accidentally posted another forum so I'll replace it with something that makes sense. Guimaraes has been hot of late but Sporting are too much at this point. All won't be lost for Vitioria since Braga will take care of Boavista

For the most part SCP doesn't have too many problems with Guimaraes... The only thing they need to be aware of is if they do well on Thursday, the players will need to refocus for Monday at home vs. Victoria. If they lose that game, then the game against the Lampioes becomes meaningless as I don't see the refs allowing any team to beat the Lampioes
Alot of energy and emotion was spent tonight. I wonder how they will come out this weekend ? Not easy after what they just went through
I know, there was a lot of emotion spilled after the AZ match and there will much physical exhaustion, but we're relying on faith, hope and adrenaline
Olegário Benquerença has been nominated to be the ref for this match. Thus far this season, he has reffed two matches involving Sporting (a 2-0 loss to V. Setubal in Week 2 and a 3-2 loss to Nacional in Week 17) and he has reffed one match involving V.Guimarães (a 1-0 loss to Braga in Week 3).
José Peseiro has called the following squad to face Vitória de Guimarães tomorrow night: Guarda-redes: Ricardo e Nélson. Defesas: Miguel Garcia, Mário Sérgio, Polga, Hugo, Beto, Paíto e Rui Jorge. Médios: Pedro Barbosa, Custódio, Moutinho, Hugo Viana e Tello. Avançados: Niculae, Sá Pinto, Douala, Liedson e Mota. Carlos Martins, Enakarhire, Rochemback, Rogério e Pinilla are out due to injury. They should be ready for next week's derby against Benfica.
Were a little weak in the midfield, but Custodio, and Moutinho ought to do the job in the center. PB is playing great, and needs to start this one, any wonder why he's the captain. Personally I can't wait to see him this summer, and congratulate him for a spectacular season he promised us last summer.
God, Sporting has been handed 1st place on a silver platter by their rivals' slip-ups. A win against Guimarães puts them in first by virtue of the better head-to-head record against the Eagles. Now, if Sporting and Benfica tie next week and Porto wins, Sporting will still be in first due to the head-to-head record against Benfica, and with a win of the final game of the season at home against Nacional, we will have the SL championship...this will be an exciting finish!
Lots of yellows being handed out (4 to Guimaraes). Alexandre was lucky to not receive his 2nd for a handball. HT 0-0 hmmm could it be another of those weeks where all the Big 3 drop points?
Goal By Tello from a non-existent foul, Guimares close to the tie 2 mins after with a good save by Ricardo.
I don't think away goals apply here. Also, a 2 goal win wouldn't necessarily win Benfica the title. Porto would still have an outside shot I believe.
so what was the score in the 1st game was it a draw 1-1 i think so benfica would be on top if its head to head. goals scored benfica are on +19 and sporting are on +33 so sporting would be on top on goals.
