The MLS website has Montreal securing Oduro for another couple years, and in the article about the Elis interest, it's looking like Houston is the frontrunner. Well, keep working, slackers.
If true, this screams SPR signing, not SKC. MLS side Kansas City planning to hijack Latif Blessing from Ajax Cape Town https://t.co/7f0hjD3oGs pic.twitter.com/z37DrgSW9b— OTEC 102.9 FM (@Otec1029fm) December 20, 2016
he looks like he's the size of a middle school kid. on the plus side, there'll be no shortage of pun opportunities with his name.
Team has confirmed negotiations with Gerso Fernandes and Latif Blessing. Also team is negotiating to bring back Igor Juliao. This according to Sam McDowell.
Solid start, but I really hope they spend more money than any of those are likely to take. They have 8 roster spots open right now (2 of them are likely off cap) with 2 more possible to open (EPB/Salloi). They likely need a backup GK and maybe a central mid and CB. Ideally though ... a high dollar winger (don't know that Gerso is that guy). Don't hate it a tall, don't love it either.
I'm not sure if this guy will work out or not. I'm just happy to see that SKC is scouting the African continent for players.
Watched a sketchy highlight reel of him. He looks quick and aggressive, fond of dribbling and happy to cross. Seems like a big gamble, but I'll take a gamble right now.
It looks like it has happened. Pending medical testing. http://footy-ghana.com/exclusive-latif-blessing-agrees-sporting-kansas-city-move/
It's not world-breaking but I do like seeing Sporting winning a few transfer wars and signing their targets. If he sticks and SKC land Gerso and Salloi comes back, we're actually starting to look at a reasonable forward corps, and one with a future as well.
http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/rest...-bentivoglio-del-venezia-la-situazione-917438 Sporting were linked with a midfielder in Italy, but today a follow up article makes it sound like he wants to stay. http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/lega-pro/?action=read&idnet=dHV0dG9sZWdhcHJvLmNvbS0xMzYxNzc
http://m.goal.com/s/en-us/news/1110...the-next?utm_referrer=https://t.co/UgKmfxzOKi Report that KC has offered Josh Sargent a HGP deal. Says that if he doesn't accept, KC could make an offer to Zach Wright.
Sporting's being linked with a move for Turkish winger Yasin Oztekin. http://www.yenisafak.com/spor/yasin-oztekine-4-kulup-talip-oldu-2590803 We were linked with him last winter, and in the summer of 2015, so either it's another Vermes long play or the agent just likes to throw our team out when it's time for a new rumor.
The agent has someone who scouts MLS ... he keeps asking the scout ... which MLS team has the most need for a winger ... his response the last couple of times ... "Really? It's STILL SKC? They haven't found a damn winger yet?".
Sounds like we're trading a 4th round pick to Portland for the rights to Christian Volesky, a forward for the Rhinos who has scored 10 goals each of the last 2 seasons
Looks like the Rossi deal is dead. Looks like he's signing with Trapani Calcio in Serie B. http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/seri...ivo-fausto-rossi-luneda-visite-e-firma-921484
Rumors of us signing defensive midfielder, Aleksandar Kovacevic from a club in Poland. Serbski pomocnik Aleksandar Kovacević ma ofertę z MLS. Gracza Lechii chce zatrudnić Sporting Kansas City.— Mateusz Borek (@BorekMati) January 8, 2017
From highlights, a very nice pass, good work ethic, looks decent on the ball. but a dodgy first touch and too often even in highlights he was doing something impressive by necessity because his touch had put him in a bit of trouble. He looks solid enough in Poland. I have no idea what that means for MLS.
According to the blue testament article, he would require a transfer fee. It's a position that needs additional forces as far as Sporting good, that's for sure.
They speculate that he would require a transfer fee, it's not a given. I doubt KC would pay a transfer fee on a third player this offseason.
That second sentence was my assumption as well. Especially not for a depth guy. I'm assuming they'll look within the league and its devices to fill their final few slots.
There are some players in the Polish league who make good money, but none making great money. I'd think he'd be looking at a salary raise while staying a fair bit below the DP salary level (average Polish salary was below MLS in last survey I saw, and he's a depth DMid ... so probably on around $80k). He arrived on a free, so buying out the contract, even if the full value was required, would be relatively cheap. They won't want that much for a squaddie, though. If they're bringing him in for something like $100k, would they pay a token fee, $40K? I am not saying this is a good idea, I have no idea and the Polish league can be great and can be horrible, so there is no way to be confident that he's a player. I'm just wondering if the club tenor is against fees, or high fees?
Stuff all offseason from the Star and SKC have mentioned how the club is looking to break from their not paying transfer fees. That doesn't mean they won't pay something small to buy this guy out id they really want him
Could we get him on a loan since Vermes and Novak at least know each other? Neither of them have a "friendly" personality so I'd assume they're not BFF's.
