When has Zusi ever worn the armband? He doesn't have one in the photos I have of him as a senior at Maryland. I can't recall him ever wearing one at KC.

Besler has worn the armband pretty much every step of his career. I'm pretty sure he even had it for some games under Klinsmann when Dempsey or Bradley weren't around.

I know I remember him wearing it for SKC at least once or twice when Besler wasn't available. This was before Roger became the obvious 2nd choice.

Yep, Zusi was second choice to Besler for a little bit.

Zusi has no business being a captain. His temperament and background are not a fit for that role. Period.

This is, quite honestly, one of the most bewildering, perplexing statements I have ever read on BigSoccer. And that's saying something.

Dwyer nets his first just 19 minutes into his debut. Quality poachers goal, excellent finish.

This Gold Cup squad could really use someone like Feilhaber.

sheesh. Why not Ike and Benny and Melia and, heck, gerso isn't capped so we can get him Status and in the nats. convince roger he really should be with Honduras and send the Us off on another pointless tour. Ellis can lead the line, and take turns at seven positions

speaking of gerso, i'm a little surprised that he hasn't been capped by guinea-bissau by now. i can't imagine they have too deep of a national pool.

Lot of Players in the Portuguese first, second and third, a couple elsewhere though no one breaking into a top or even toppish league. Not so many who've made much of a splash. transfermarkt estimates his value at 1.7m euro, so that places him among the top three most valuable GBissau Players.
This appears to be his best year to date, in Terms of playing time and production. but he was in the portugese first for a couple years. Maybe he rejected them? Maybe having moved to Portugal when he started playing competitively he sees himself as Portuguese or nothing? Maybe they're crap at scouting and have no idea about his nationality?

Lots of federations, especially in Africa focus a lot on their local leagues, there was the issue in Sierra Leone a few years ago where the federation announced 1 roster (with Kamara) and the coach announced 1 (without Kamara)

    Midwest, the real one.

It may be a cost issue as well. Some federations may not have the resources to fly players in from all over.

Not "Sporting" but it's "KC Sports" news ...

How embarrassing is this? I dislike 610 and this only reaffirms my dislike for them.

The answer does Show Progress, though. 20 years ago the question would never have been asked by a General interest sports station and if it had, the results would have been reversed.

that sort of ignorance is exactly what i expect out of 610, which is why i never listen to them for anything outside of royals games.

20 years ago Wes Wade of the Comets said they'd beat the Wizards in a pair of indoor/outdoor games.

I remember wondring about that. But we've seen, sadly, how out of it indoor sides look outside, and the best indoor Player on either side played for the Wizards. And while Preki was an indoor beast, Iäd think that Digital would have been suited to indoors, as well.
