Re: Wizards Blog Updates Good to hear Josh is practicing. I wonder if he will make an appearance as a late game sub if we need offense (hopefully we will be AHEAD late in the game ).
Re: Wizards Blog Updates http://www.backpost.net/2008/10/kansas-city-wizards-practice-10302008.html Practice and press conference notes...
Re: Wizards Blog Updates http://voices.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/2008/11/cuban_update.html I thought it was Alcantara when I saw him at practice myself, but it's been confirmed that it was him. More on Alcantara: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reynier_Alcántara He was apparently the Cuban league MVP in 2006 and 2007.
Re: Wizards Blog Updates I finally got the Conrad interview posted. Part 1 and 2 Part 3 and 4 There are other interviews from the season ending media day up there as well.
Re: Wizards Blog Updates Guess it is time to start this up again... http://www.backpost.net/2009/01/01-20-2009-cold-practice-or-what-beep.html
Re: Wizards Blog Updates http://www.backpost.net/ Thad has a 3 part interview up with Vermes, with some good information on different things (Costly rumor, other player signings, Kitson has already been released, Preistly is trying to make it over seas, preseason friendly at home?, no jersey sponsor yet)
Re: Wizards Blog Updates I put up the audio from another interview with Peter. I asked him about Hirsig and a variety of topics.
Re: Wizards Blog Updates I was doing a little blog surfing today and I came across this: http://www.ozcitysoccer.com/ I must have missed the total soccer demise of the OZ City Blog. I knew there had been a change and the last time I looked it had the original format, but had not been updated for quite awhile. Now we have tennis and golf. Sadly this is linked to Ives and WVHooligan as a KC soccer blog.
Re: Wizards Blog Updates Up until very recently, it had been going to a go daddy page. I saw that Hillcrest had dropped Oz City on their blog list. Have a feeling it'll take Ives a while to get that changed.
Re: Wizards Blog Updates Something for everyone that uses Firefox. I was given a heads up that the Wizards have worked on creating a Wizards-themed Firefox browser that is going to be released soon, I was given some screen shots that I've posted. http://www.downthebyline.com/2009/03/wizards-themed-firefox-browser.html
Re: Wizards Blog Updates hmmmm, interesting. i can't decide if it's extremely awesome, or if it's a bit of a thumbs down because it's just too damn busy up at the top. i'll probably download it and give it a try.
Re: Wizards Blog Updates Normally, Mike and I have have a poll on our blogs each week to see who people would like us to interview. This week is a little unusual. The team has been out of town since last Saturday and played in SuperLiga games Sunday and Wednesday. So instead of the normal day or two to vote on the blogs I thought people could just post here who they would like to have interviewed. Next week we will go back to the norm (I think). So just reply here if you have a preference for interview and we will do our best.
Re: Wizards Blog Updates Time to resurrect this thread. Felt like being nice to Kei Kamara today. http://kcwfans.com/articles/stand-tall-kei-we-are-right-there-with-you/
Re: Wizards Blog Updates BTW - I have taken over duties at http://kcwizards.theoffside.com/ We'll see how long it lasts before they kick me out for someone good...
Re: Wizards Blog Updates Welcome to the blogosphere, I am quite sure you will bring your usual voice of reason.
Re: Wizards Blog Updates clearly not a blog however- The current Wizards season Wiki could always use help. So if you want to fix my prose, add your prose, delete completely incoherent prose, or just update stats please feel free. Also I've gone through the trouble of making the Wizards the most documented club in MLS with each season having their own articles- most are just stubs and could use a spit shine and prose! If you feel really motivated you could take on last seasons page that I really trailed off on as I went on a 3 week camping trip to return to a horrid side that didn't do much to make me want to finish writing prose for. So when considering what you might want to do with those many idle hours of nothingness spent in front of the computer please consider my offer of helping with the wiki pages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks
Re: Wizards Blog Updates Wikipedia in some form might be around hundreds of years and I'm sure they'll port the information collected to whatever is next. This is a great way to document our history in the modern age - will be fun to look back in a few years. I'll help out when I have time, but don't forget to remind us now and again in the future.
Re: Wizards Blog Updates This seemed relevant to a number of threads and I just didn't know which one to pick so its going here. Its just a look at some of the numbers on the season and I thought folk might find it somewhat interesting or affirming depending upon your opinion. http://kcwfans.com/articles/post-dallas/ Thought about sticking it in the 'Fire Vermes' thread, or the 'Losing Culture' thread, and the Dallas Thread ...
Re: Wizards Blog Updates Not quite sure how to describe this other than by saying I have not enjoyed writing something as much in years. http://kcwfans.com/articles/a-day-in-the-lives-of-a-football-fan/
Re: Wizards Blog Updates And I have not enjoyed reading a story that much in a long time. I found myself wanting to hop a plane and experience your other game with you.
Re: Wizards Blog Updates I appreciate that - I got a lot of good feedback about that Not sure I'll come close to it for a while. Thank you. A new blogger (Andy Edwards) has thrown his hat into the arena, launching The Daily Wiz. http://thedailywiz.wordpress.com/
Re: Wizards Blog Updates As James said, I've started The Daily Wiz and I'll be hosting a running live thread during tonight's game. Though only three days old, I've already begun putting things together to bring a daily Wizards blog for us all to enjoy, and one that will soon be on a large network platform with a super operating format. Feel free to stop by tonight sometime during the game, if only for a second, drop a comment or whatever and if anyone has any ideas for future posts or anything of that nature, feel free to contact me. You can email me at KCsince88(at)yahoo(dot)com WIZARDS!
Re: Wizards Blog Updates I'm not sure if linking MYSELF is the coolest thing to do here, but I've got another new post up at The Daily Wiz, which I will almost daily - hence the name, of course. Anyway, I did a little email interview with a Rapids blogger ahead of Saturday's game, which now looks more meaningful after last night's win. You can check out what he had to say here: http://thedailywiz.wordpress.com/2010/07/15/five-questions-with-an-opposing-blogger-colorado-rapids/
Re: Wizards Blog Updates That's why this thread is here. I appreciate the links, I don't have enough time to go checking every site every day so bigsoccer does a lot of filtering for me.
