dunno, they act like muppets. I have no stake in this, just want Spector to play in the midfield.

Here's an article on Spector discussing playing in midfield (he fully credits Grant), and a little bit about his contract offer from West Ham and the possibility of moving onto the continent.

He gets more credit for his stint at Chelsea than he deserves IMO.

True, but less than he deserves for his work at Portsmouth.

At the end of the day, in the English parlance he's a coach rather than a manager. Could see him as a Director of Football, but never managing in the EPL again.

They can still resign him (Blackpool released a bunch of guys late in the season, then re-signed a few after they were relegated) as a free agent ... but probably won't even try.

Sam's got a different style of play than Avram and just signed Kevin Nolan from Newcastle.

thats a shame but yeah, not a Big Sam type of player. Someone will go get him he had a breakout year. Already know of the BL interest. I think Norwich would be a nice place for him to latch on to. He and Morrison would be a good team together i think

A shame? You do realize West Ham is in the Championship next year, don't you...

They've offered him a new contract, Spector's just weighing his options.

Spector makes an "all-star" team, of sorts. He is listed here as being one of the best 11 out-of-work (recently released) PL players.

Atually a fairly decent team there (if you could keep them on the field and not on the stretcher).

It's mostly old or frequently injured guys like Woodgate, Viera, Carew. Spector is atypical.

that is some pretty damn good press, I think.

After Spec's turn as CM, I am sold on him. If he could just play ManU every week he'd be a superstar.

Some of those fellas that wear invisible cloaks and hang around the offices of Upton Park think he's pretty much off to Germany.

yup I do, and i would have liked him to be a critical piece of the puzzle in them going back up. because he most certainly would have been.

makes sense to me. thats a fine scenario for me too

Yep I recall that. That was like 6, 7months ago. But his play improved so well that he didn't leave in January. Hope they're still after him.

The three teams that were relegated from the Premiership last year (Hull, Pompey, Burnley) were all outside the frontrunners for promotion back to the Premiership, while the three teams (Leeds, Norwich, Millwall) that were promoted from League One were all in the hunt and Norwich got promoted. Going straight back up is not an easy task by any means.

Yea, it'll be interesting, no matter where he goes, where the team that picks him up will play him. If I'm Specs i try and find a team that wants to use me as a CM

    Uh. No.

Not only is Spector clearly a Premier League player, but he wouldn't have taken a pay cut anyway. In fact, I'd be mildly surprised if he didn't ASK to be put on the transfer list.
