Re: Spector: Blackburn vs. West Ham [R] 8/29 10:00 EDT Zola gives him a chance to redeem himself. I like it.
Re: Spector: Blackburn vs. West Ham [R] 8/29 10:00 EDT The top sopcast stream on here is working fine for me, but you have to have sopcast installed for it to work. http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=46989&part=sports Pretty uneventful first half for Spector (and everyone else for that matter). Blackburn rarely went down his side, and West Ham didn't really look for Spector when he went forward. These were the few times I noticed him: he had a couple nice passes out of the back, one of which led to a half-chance; Blackburn's winger got one non-threatening cross off Spector down the wing late in the half; and Spector had one shaky clearance on a floated ball into the box in injury time.
Re: Spector: Blackburn vs. West Ham [R] 8/29 10:00 EDT Anybody who watched know how Specs did? From what i read, it was a boring game
Re: Spector: Blackburn vs. West Ham [R] 8/29 10:00 EDT pretty boring game, everyone fell asleep on the 54' (including players & referees) Thankfully the ref woke up in the 93' just in time to blow the final whistle...
I love getting up at 5am and getting home at 11pm and seeing a game like that Good away point but not the sort of game you'll be watching the DVD of in years to come. Spector was OK, did what he had to do. A couple of this clearances were poor but the whole team started making more errors as the game progressed, third game in less than 7 days and they had played 120 mins on Tuesday so tiredness played a part. Having said that he wasn't the busiest player on the pitch, more of the play seemed to come down our right but he handled Pedersen pretty well. Collins and Upson had the tougher job containing the always physical and busy Roberts and Samba when he came up for set pieces. Latest reports are that Ilunga will be fit for the next game so would expect to see Spector back in the bench.
Re: Spector: Blackburn vs. West Ham [R] 8/29 10:00 EDT Zola didn't have much of a choice. As to his play, he did have some trouble with some weak clearances as noted by others. Pity if he can't hold down a starting job at this level, but that is unfortunately not that unusual for average USMNT at this time. Hopefully he will get more chances or find someplace where he can start regularly.
