Spector starts on the bench as Charlton pull to a 1-0 lead on a Shaun Bartlett goal in the 21st.

Half time, no Spector, still 1-0 Charlton's way.

BBC World Service just said Charlton's defending terribly.

Final 2-0, Spector never came on.

i'm upset! i know they had a clean sheet today, but i don't think their central defenders are better than spector. of course curbishley apparently thinks differently.

can manu send him elsewhere in january?

A main goal of getting better is fighting through a team's depth and talent to improve and then play well on the field. Not quitting when not playing then going to a less competitive situation. Ask Convey and Beasley. If they quit to play in Denmark when not playing they wouldn't be as good as they are.

but manu can move him if he is not getting first team minutes like they want.

that's why i was asking if their contract with charlton allows them to end it in january during the window.

i also happen to think after looking at several charlton games that he has indeed fought thru the team's depth and talent and is better than the cb's that keep playing ahead of him. but the manager obviously feels differently.
