    Thanks.

Where can we watch these full matches online?

But... I thought you were uploading them...

It's on Spanish TV (Gol Television), maybe one game a week, so maybe someone streams those, but not many full games are online atm. ElDesmarque TV uploads highlights - so does the official site:

If you're searching, it's called the Liga Iberdrola, or sometimes the Primera División Femenina.

A few matches are streamed on Youtube, like last season
    - Madrid CFF - Fundación Albacete (3 Feb 2018)
    - Real Betis Féminas - FC Barcelona Femenino (15 Apr 2018)
Albacete streamed some of their other games, v Espanyol and Rayo Vallecano.
The newly promoted team Málaga CF also put some 2017/18 games online.

This December will mark 30 years since the league began, in 1988/89.

Spain U-20s made their first Women's World Cup U20 semi-final, and won

Another goal for Patri Guijarro of Barça, who's won the player of the tournament and the Golden Ball, with 6 goals and 3 assists. Japan won the final today, 3-1.

Thanks for your comments @KAPIJXM (in the Nadeshiko Japan thread). I hope you don't let the idiots get you down too much. They're just feeling "threatened".

In Spain I see a lot that I envy - fans really seem to care about the sport, it has great teams, the crowds are often good (better than in many other countries), there were big celebrations for Athletic Club and Atlético ... everything that a dinosaur would hate :D

You're welcome. I too like that more and more people starts to watch women's football in Spain, there are some great news for sure. I started watching women's football about 8 years ago (at U-17 WWC) and I couldn't be more pleasured about it, actually I like it even more than men's football now, so I'm proud to can say: I'M A BIG FAN OF WOMEN'S FOOTBALL ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!

The Second Division (Segunda División Femenina) is really 7 divisions, divided regionally.

Group 1 includes @KAPIJXM's own Galicia :D In that group, Atlántida Matamá are technically top of the table on alphabetical order.. well, they haven't started yet.

I guess there should be quite a lot of Japanese players in the Liga Femenina. I'll try to locate them all and post a short recap on Nadeshiko Japan thread. :ninja:

Edit: anyway, by looking at line-ups, I can recognize many Spanish players from latest U-20 WWC Silver-medaled team: it's a good sign for Spanish football that so many of these players already made the roster of Division 1 teams! :)

Edit II: it probably helps making rosters the fact that Spanish league sports a whopping 16 teams (unheard of in women's football, I'd say)!

This should be the Chilean player who had started the season with Washington Spirit in NWSL and was waived mid-season, isn't she?

Yes. She already moved from Washington Spirit to Valencia in 2015 along with Estefanía Banini, then both moved back to Spirit at the end of season. That was the best team Valencia has had to date, and she was great in the season's second half.

from looking at Athletico Madrid's roster, they had a banner recruitment year, picking up Spanish NT's Hermoso & Olga Garcia, French NT, Tounkara, as well as the Aussie youngster Chidiac
    https://us.women.soccerway.com/teams/spain/atletico-madrid-feminas/7079/

but why did they loose Sonia Bermudez? Despite 33 years old, she was by far the most dominating player during the last Spanish Cup final. Did Levante(where she plays now) make her a better offer? Or did AM just wanted to unload her?

It's the former. According to a June 20 article in Marca it happened like this:

    - With five league matches remaining Bermúdez had already told Atlético that she wanted to leave.

    - Atlético offered her an improved contract, but she told them it wasn't a matter of money.

    - Atlético told her they wouldn't ask for a transfer if she moved abroad.

    - Bermúdez rejected offers from Italy, Norway and China and chose Levante's.

    - Atlético referred Levante to her €300,000 rescision clause but said that they would be willing to negociate up to a 50% discount.

This Sunday's Barcelona-Levante has been postponed because part of Barcelona's squad is suffering from acute gastroenteritis following the journey to Kazakhstan. Definitely not a week they'll remember fondly o_O

That team does not sound too lovely to be around right now.
And what do they put in the food in Kazakhstan?

thanks for the info, wasn't sure if perhaps AM had the similar mindset of the Spanish NT coach, who dumped aging vets in favor of younger players. Surprise though, Sonia would of wanted to leave a championship team, other than more money being offered by some one else.

who won the league MVP for last season?(if they had one)

It's awarded in Marca's Women's Football Gala, along with the awards for the top scorer, least scored goalkeeper, best manager, best newcomer, best WNT player, best referee... It will probably take place in few weeks. Bermúdez was the 2016-17 season's MVP.

However, LFP already carried out a Best Team survey from the teams (70%) and the audience (30%) as soon as the season ended:
