Alright so we're playing against a team who's last full Serie A season was before my parents were born. They've been playing as a solid team especially at home. It's gonna be tough as they are probably gonna park the bus. The comments from their team "Our goal is to keep the score low" insists they will be playing at least 9 men back. We're perfect so far in Serie A having overcoming a difficult game away to Lazio. This game is important because in previous years this is where we'd fail to collect all 3 points, against the provincials. We need this win, 3 more points to our scudetto hunt. After this game we can focus on the UCL but it's huge to get the win here. I'd start with Reina Hysaj-Albiol-K2-Ghoulam Zielinski-Diawara-Hamsik Callejon-Mertens-Insigne It's gonna take a lot of mental strength to come here and get the win, mostly due to the important UCL game coming up.
Must win. Is this the fourth away game in 6 games? I would start Hysaj - Albiol - Maksimovic - Rui Rog - Jorginho - Hamsik Callejon - Mertens - Insigne
This is not the game to change defense, one little error and our confidence can fall apart due to a successful counter-attack carried out by the opposition. I'd try Hysaj - Albiol - Kou - Ghoulam Rog - Jorginho - Hamsik Ounas - Mertens - Insigne as Callejon is rarely ever useful in these games where the other team parks the bus in front of their goal...
The only problem I see is that SPAL is better than Benevento and will be trying much harder. The president of Benevento was talking about how our game against them was going to be a "friendly contest" while the president of SPAL is talking about "we need to be perfect to get points that will be invaluable come the end of the season" that's the difference in mentality. The 1st screams a team from 2nd or 3rd division, the 2nd screams a team who's throwing everything at the chance to survive. Spal will be tough believe me. They're gonna go full out.
I think you're right actually, away games are important so if we can be perfect after 6 having played 4 away games that'd be beautiful
actual starting 11 hysaj-maks-k2-ghoulam zielinski-diawara-hamsik (i hate this midfield+ its so unfair to rog!) callejon-mertens-insigne
Can someone explain why Rog never plays? He's much more of an all rounder than zielinski, yet is always behind him in the pecking order
I knew it was coming watching how we cant win the ball with that midfield i wanna see people blame reina for this one
regardless of insignes goal or not we cannot start games like this and consider ourselves title runners
I like Diawara but he has been awful the past two games, he looks like he has no confidence, especially with Hamsik and Zielinski.
