Hopefully that rookie head coach of ours will catch on to that even sooner. ;)

That is not even close to what he said, far from it. He said seattle were making all other FO's look amateur. We'll see where all this chest pounding goes when you boys get a faceful of humble pie.

You can talk about corn holes all you want, and I'm not trying to belittle that the guys out there in Orange had to earn it, because they did. But they had the roster that could compete for a title from the day they knocked on Houston's door, and that's because they were not an expansion team. Them's just the facts.

Don't twist what I'm saying. Calling your FO competent and committed is very different from suggesting that all others are amateurish in comparison.

That's his opinion. The fact you are reacting so personally to that statement could be interpreted as a kind of agreement to it.

Actually you seem to be a little insecure about the gifted dynasty that was Houston Dynamo.

Insecure about my team because I don't appreciate some douche completely disrespecting a dozen or so FO's that have made strides and helped lay the foundation beforehand? Gosh, how could I have been so blind to my own subconscious inferiority complex? Thank you, I now see the error of my ways...

And what are you going to do once you find the truth?

I never said that. Someone from LA did. I wasn't agreeing or disagreeing with the individual. ;)

I was responding to your gradeschool and defensive respose that belongs in the rivalry forum. And I quote:

"Might want to pop that orca phallus out of your mouth before you choke to death, bub."

You took someone's general opinion, disagreed with it and instead of stating why you disagreed, decided to throw out a cheap personal attack on the individual that posted it.

Whoa...jebus. I didn't think my little statement would create such a hizzy fit.

It's just an expression. To clarify, this offseason, Toronto FC has been magnificent, Columbus has managed to keep their team intact, even Bruce has managed to bring in some much needed help.
But look at the facts. Compare Seattle's roster now, much less opening kickoff, to those of Real Salt Lake, Toronto FC, the Quakes and other recent expansion teams. Then also add that Seattle leads the league in season ticket sales. Now if that's not an impressive front office for any team, much less one that hasn't even played a competitive game, what is?
They're doing a great job, and deserve credit.

I don't see the real big deal, which is why your statement wasn't offensive to me. It's not like they give out trophies for offseason movements and "best roster on paper" or even selling the most tickets.
As I Cubs fan, trust me....I know.

Exactly. Like I said in a previous post. The only competition is on the field. Being an expansion team, we have realistic expectations.

The FO is doing a great job with laying the ground work. The team has to pay the FO and the fans back and the only way to do that is to be competetive between the lines.

Personaly speaking, if we can compete for a playoff spot, I will consider the first year a success on the field. ;)

What are you talking about? I said it out of genuine concern...I didn't want to see the guy choke to death.
