So I here we had a game. I thought the performance was decent away against a good team, though the big guns still aren't gelling yet. Got some nice help from Aurelien Ciman, or was it Laurent Collin? Someone besides Brad Evans was nails on a PK. Always refreshing.
And.. Unlike last year when the offense wasn't clicking we at least had our defense to fall back on, this year the defense seems to be fairly poor.. Ozzie doesn't look like he's fully recovered from his injury yet and Torres is making a number of mistakes that I don't recall him making last season.. Getting Evans or Fischer in for Svensson would be huge defensively, IMHO. He doesn't seem horrible on defense, but he's so slow that he's caught completely out of position and unable to get back when possession changes and he's up attacking.
Yes, we need speed in lots of places. You especially need speedsters when you are playing at S.T.A.R. Labs. Since Fischer created a goal and we didn't give up any after he came in, you may be on to something.
