The stadium will be at least half full of English fans.. in Germany we had about 150,000, although that was quite close to England, we are still expecting to send out at least 30,000.

I don't see the big deal, in Europe especially fans boo the opposing team's national anthem all the time, it's just a bit of banter..plus that's boxing and i'd imagine a fair number of those fans were drunk and feeling a bit rowdy. I would expect against the US their won't be many boos for the anthem though, as we don't really have a grudge against you, although many of the US fans still seem to think that we care about the revolutionary war - we don't.

And by "revolutionary war" you mean "oral hygiene," right?

Just kidding. We're very much looking forward to meeting you lot in Rustenburg.

  5. To the tune of Luna Mezzo Mare (aka Oh Ma-Ma), a 1940s era song ...

F*ck your tea, we threw it in the sea!
F*ck your tea, we threw it in the sea!
Scones are dry, and cold should lager be!
We'll beat you one to nothing like Belo Horizonte!

F*ck your tea, we threw it in the sea!
F*ck your tea, we threw it in the sea!
    U S A has better dentistry
In Rustenburg, we'll win again, like 19 and 50!

F*ck your tea, we threw it in the sea!
F*ck your tea, we threw it in the sea!
Sixty years is lots of time to cry
Beckham, Owen, Rooney weren't a glint in daddy's eye

You get the picture ... make up as many verses with the last two lines as you want!

Having lived over here for a few years, they hate it when they get referred to as "The 51st State", so perhaps something along those lines.

not really a song that stabs at england but over there has to be the go to chant

    Over There, Over There
Send the word, send the word,
    Over There
    That the Yanks are coming,
    The Yanks are coming,
    The drums rum tumming everywhere
    So prepare,
    Say a Prayer
    Send the word,
    Send the word to beware
We'll be over, we're coming over.
And we won't be back till it's over over there!

this concept is on here a bit, but I believe this is the best way to sing it.
to the tune of "there were ten german bombers"

there were ten redcoats standing in a field
there were ten redcoats standing in a field
    there were ten redcoats standing
    ten redcoats standing
ten redcoats standing in a field

And a continental soldier shot one down
And a continental soldier shot one down
    And a continental soldier
    A continental soldier
A continental soldier shot one down!

    (then)
there were nine redcoats standing in a field

and repeat...counting down until you get to 0...

    this summer will be epic!

    To Cielito Lindo

I saw Miss Bridge, sucking off John Terry
That dirty old twat, aborted their Brat
And now he's no armband to wear-o

Mayweather is hardly anything to be proud of, he's a complete retard.

The reason for the boo'ing was due to Mayweather bad mouthing England and Hatton.

The fans didn't hate the USA, they hated Mayweather which is hardly surprising given the boxing world hates him.

I like that song, it's good and it's very easy for fans to sing.

I wonder if the US fans will sing like the English sing at the game, should be interesting to watch.

Interestingly I've never heard of the UK mentioned in that way.

We often joke over here Canada is the extra state but I've never heard that here.

As near as I can remember it:

In 1814 we took a little trip
Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip'
    We took a little bacon
And we took a little beans
And we met the bloody British
In the town of New Orleans.

We fired our guns but the British kept a-comin'
Though there wasn't quite as many
As there was a while ago.
We fired once more and they began a-runnin'
    Down the Mississippi
    To the Gulf of Mexico.

Sometimes being ancient has it's advantages... ;)

To the chorus of "Rule Britannia!":

    O dear England,
Her fans to blind to see.
    You're the Queen of Mediocrity.

Yes, we have to remember the English invented the concept of "we are better than the rest of the world". :D

It's been around along time. I thinbk it may've originated in financial circles to desrcibe the UK's fiscal policy and the way that the UK market would follow the US market.

There was a really crap film starring Robert Carlyle and Samuel L Jackson a few years ago called 51st state.

Re: "Battle of New Orleans" Pre-match

Just the chorus on it's own would be good.

And for those who are unfamiliar with the song:

    There's only one Ricky Hatton,
    One Ricky Hatton,
    Walking along,
    Singing this song,
    Walking in a Hatton wonderland.

Maybe the fans that will be at s.africa can modify this chant and sing it.

    I heard this one recently...

To the tune of "London bridge is falling down"

    Mrs. Lampard's going down
    going down going down
    Mrs. Lampard's going down
    on John Terry

Pretty much works with anyone one of their players. Gerrard, Rooney, etc.
