If ever there were a team ripe for parody, its England. Anyone have any ideas for some friendly England bashing songs?

My idea, to the tune of "yellow subarine":

"You haven't done shit, since 1966...
    Since 1966...
    Since 1966..."

    Our own "10 German bombers"...

"There were 10 Redcoats standing in a field...
a Continental soldier shot them down..."

Don't lower yourself to the level of some of the morons who follow England mate. 10 German bombers is not funny and it's not clever.

Obviously there will need to be some bastardized version of Que Sera abut winning at Wembley.

This one was on here a little while back :

'' ******** off britannia , you rule the waves no more ! ''

My country tis of thee, which is to the same tune as God Save the Queen would be a great song to sing.

Awesome. Went to college just a couple blocks from the buildings pictured and had community service in one of them.

The reenactors in general are pretty sick. For the annual reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg, you could see crowds of well over 10,000 just to participate in the battle.

Having a battalion of a couple hundred with trumpets and such at a US match would be a surreal experience.

I'm trying to remember what people were singing at the bar in Nashville...

I remember "You beat up Tobacco Farmer's with Hessian Help"

and "Your navy was powerful when it was made of wood"

Wow, I saw the title of this thread and started thinking the same thing. Weird.

Too bad they're not wearing the away kits, we could make it "There were 11 redcoats standing in a field..." but that might be taking it a bit too far.

I lived here for 6yrs now so think the below would be good

Sung to the tune of 3 Lions (it was a local song that first began for Euro 96 but is a England fan favourite youtube it if you don't know how it goes)

    One star on your shirt
    By itself it's beaming
    40yrs of shame
    Another World Cup? You're Dreaming

    That would really rile them

Also this little jingle because English fans always chant doo-dah songs

    Take back Beckham
    We don't want him
    Doo-dah doo dah

I hope to get to this one...but probably with 5 English friends of mine so I think my chanting would be just on the DL with them but certainly would love to hear some good chants from Sam's Army....and PLEASE not the USA USA USA thing...I get teased all the time by the lack of creativity with that

I cringe every single time I hear it at a USMNT game. It's like we're cheering on Hacksaw Jim Duggan v/s Nikita Koloff.

Can we just bring Hacksaw? He could just run around the pitch with his 2X4.

I dont think yelling USA USA occassionally isnt all that bad, especially after goals, when everyone is just going nuts.

But I would definitely like to see more organization and songs. I will be doing my best to keep everyone together at the England match, but it will be very tough without a drum ( as wembley has told me we arent allowed to bring ).

Oh man, that's cruel, man. Rubbing salt into a deep, fresh wound (England not making Euro 2008). And at their home, too?

The thing about "one star on your shirt," at least they have one. We haven't won one yet. We have three stars in our patch, but they don't stand for the number of WC's we have won. I've heard they stand for our men's, women's and youth's programs.

I know that making fun of and/or taunting the opponents is part of it. But I think it's way cool to only sing/concentrate on pro-US chants and songs. I'd venture to say our players feel the same way I do.

No surpise that a Galaxy fan isn't in favor of taunting opposing teams right this minute.;)

You're kidding, no drum? What the hell?! It'll be a morgue inside Wembley.

    ----------------------------------------------------

Change '10 raincoats standing' to '10 British redcoats in a field' just to be sure they know we're singing about them.

And yes, we must rub their Euro 08 absence in their faces, although 1966 songs might not go so well, seeing as we've never even sniffed a WC trophy ourselves.

As often as possible, we should refer to the American Revolution in our songs. British Empire, you're 'avin' a laugh.

Yeah I was really dissapointed about the drum, but I am going to contact the USSF and see if they can talk to the FA so we can have one. It may not seem like a lot, but when there are 90,000 English fans singing, we'll need all the help we can get.
