I really hope the physios protect Son. It would be incredibly frustrating to see him follow the path of Gareth Bale and his laundry list of injuries.
The Sonaldo nickname originally came from Fifa 17 when his player of the month cards were extremely OP (overpowered) . But I definitely agree his running and play style reminds me of CR7.
If Liverpool win in the final- at least Lovren gets to have a CL medal. If Spurs do it, then South Korea has a national holiday.
What happened to the posts from yesterday? My two posts that got deleted were on topic and didn’t attack anyone personally. Geez, it’s like North Korea around here.
That's how I feel, esp with the lack of depth at tottenham. But it's a one game final so anything can happen [emoji106]
Finally someone rational. Our CL games versus Barcelona or PL games against Liverpool are always so one sided. I guess if Kane comes back and we can play Son + Kane, everyone stays healthy, and we get some options back like Lamela Lucas Dier Aurier back, it's doable. But a team like spurs will find a way to bottle it.
Regardless of any titles Spurs are already the farthest in CL they have ever been. The nickname is way older than that.
I don't think Son is better than Kane. I think their style don't mesh well together. Either Kane scores the goals, or Son does. It seems like when one does well, the other doesn't.
Yeah I think we can all agree Kane is a better player than Son. Albeit not by much. It's weird though because they seemed to be playing well together in the beginning of the season. But lately, I can't help but to think that whenever Kane scores, its a result of the team trying to play through him and get him his goals. And although Kane is a great passer, he tends to be very selfish in the final third but god forbid, anyone (fans, teammates) call out the golden boy. I was very confident Spurs would pull away with the W without Kane and have been confident for them going into whatever matches as well. Fact is, they don't miss him too much thanks to Son.
Finally, Pochy decided to bench Rose and Trippier. For all you mutts who were barking about Pochy's player choices being fine, there you go. Starting Sanchez Toby and Jan had us concede ONE goal against City at home. Tripps and Rose are a defensive liability.
It's just that Son does more well when he's given a free role + Kane is a target man so the ball obviously goes to him more often.
I think it’s down to more Kane’s health than anything else. Think he rushed back from his last injury too soon and doubt he was fully fit. The whole “they don’t play well together” is overblown imo. Neither Son or Kane seem to me like overly selfish players and both have creative qualities which, in theory, should be good for the other. As for the last part of your statement, there’s too many who equate scoring goals as the sole factor to playing well. Not accusing you of this btw, but there’s ways to make an impact/contribute positively/play well without actually scoring. Making runs, pressing high up the pitch, holding up play, all important things that often go unnoticed. My point being, both Kane and Son have quality, are intelligent, work hard, and seemingly possess the right mentalities, so they’ll be fine playing together.

Eriksen to the rescue nearly at the full time 1-0. But Sonny looked dangerous and was handcuffed all throughout the match. I wish he can solve playing against teams that parks the bus.
To be fair, Spurs were the better team tonight but its been a problem for a while for Spurs to break down lesser teams that park the bus against them. Either way, a win is a win
Brighton were unlucky to come away with a result here. Nearly clean-sheeting Tottenham away at NWHL is a result that many relegation-zone teams can take away positives from. The fatigue of multiple matches in the week and lack of squad depth were evident by the lack of pace on the break. There was a lot of side-to-side and back passing that didn't suit Tottenham's more direct approach. Levy has to bring on more striker depth as well as better fullbacks. Trippier and Rose were giving me fits. I haven't watched the entirety of the season to know Foyth's and Davies' bodies of work. To me, both seem like squad players.
