If I was Son, I'd be carrying a bunch of DVDs with my greatest highlights and hand them out when people ask for one. All for promoting my goal-scoring prowess and to shut them up. In the DVD extras, I'd show them how much money I earn and all of the houses I earn.
it's proper time, he had a song. the one that hadn't caught on yet to 'Rhythm is a Dancer' the best one so far. but the terraces need to get one going already...
It's nice that both Shin and Pochettino have seemingly identified Son's strengths/weaknesses. Playing him more centrally with another body allows him to stay more up front closer to the backline. This has allowed him to use his energy for the two things he brings to the table, pace and shooting. When he was used as a winger more often than not he was dribbling near the byline, losing it, and failing to track back effectively. He needs to play closer to the box. In this new role, he looks like he has a bright future. If you asked Kante to play as a winger or striker he would look terrible. Ask him to play CM running around and people are calling him world class. Son looked quite average as a "typical" winger, but as a front man where he isn't asked to hold the ball up against CBs he is looking very promising. Thumbs up to the managers for getting this right.
Like I said, Son clearly mentioned he didnt know what was going on during an interview. It's not that he's dumb. It's just that his English isnt perfect..
