Son doesn't have the toughness Suarez has and Son isn't a "rags-to-riches" story like Vardy (implying that Vardy doesn't take things for granted).

I never got the impression that Son took things for granted.

Neither do I and I may be talking out of my ass, but someone like Vardy who became a top BPL striker after being a no name, I would imagine it's hard to live up to that kind of determination.

His dad was definitely a huge factor in where he is today. We should make him our youth shooting drills coach lol.

It doesn't hurt that his father was a former footballer and his father making sure to get the most out of his son's ability by getting him to Europe at a young age

looks like Kyle Walker through to City for £53m! now world's most expensive defender.

    hello young Mr. Trippier.

won't be long before they have to play Walker in the coming friendly. Now, Mr. Levy let Poch do something with that cash.

Poch needs a replacement for Sissoko. And a proper backup for Kane.

Tottenham have been heavily linked with Barkley, but a few things stand in the way. Everton want 50 million...for a player in the last year of his contract. Yeah, there's no way Levy will cough up that much. From what I hear, Spurs are only willing to pay about half of that.

Barkley apparently is demanding 150k per week, which would make him the top earner at Spurs ahead of Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris. Again, not going to happen.

I think the transfer is still realistic though, if there's compromise. I could see Spurs paying up about 25-30 million and Barkley earning around 100K. In any case, it seems that he's burned his bridge at Everton, so he's definitely moving on.

With the transfer fees these days, I suppose it's "realistic". I mean there are rumors of Neymar going to PSG for 222+ million fees..

Barkley is a nice player but 150K per week nice? No.

In case people were thinking of seeing Son with Tottenham in USA trip, he stayed home along with other recovering guys (and Sissoko who is "sick")
