That is my lovely Edyta in the picture (hates having her picture taken as much as I do). Those of you who have met her know how great she is. She sprained her ankle the first night in Portland (drunkenly falling off of a curb...but totally saved her chicken schwarma!). I have had to buy two ankle braces. Total trooper. Today is touring brew pubs in Seattle. Hale's Ales is excellent. A great FSB (not sure what the F means). Reuben's Brews is terrific. Their Scotch wee heavy and English brown (think Newcastle or Sam Smith) are great. They have won a boat load of awards. Tomorrow is wine country, Mt. Rainier and dinner with her friend. This is a vacation.
Scotch (wee heavy) and Brown Ales are probably the best ales around. Not sure if you're on vacation, or in heaven - enjoy! I myself am enjoying a beer (Cerveza de Mezquite) from one of my favorite places on the planet, Jester King Brewery in Austin, TX. The bottle shop around the corner from me gets some of their stuff in every once in a while, and whenever they do, it's a good time for me and the wife. Not quite as good as drinking it at their beautiful farmhouse brewery, but it's good enough for Sunday.
Here, my friend, is an issue with which we definitely disagree. There is a lot of bad beer. Some are worse than others.
