    Thanks for the confirmation, "KY Gunner". The word football is commonplace around the world. i.e. "American Football" which derived out of the games of "soccer" and rugby", Australian Rules football, and of course the two English versions of "Association" which was first, and then "Rugby Football" which came about when young master Webb-Ellis picked up the football (soccer ball) at the English public school in Rugby, Warwickshire and ran with it, and placed it in the goal, thereb y "inventing" the game of rugby (football).
    The Rugby World Cup trophy is actually named after him.
    Rugby also has the nickname of "rugger" as the association game is nicknamed "soccer".
