The Brothers Grimsby is a new path for Sacha Baron Cohen. Instead of giving us a narcissistic Borat, Bruno, or Ali G, his Nobby is a likable character: family man, loyal brother, wasted England fan, and unlikely action hero. That is, when Cohen isn't delivering his usual shtick of sex, penises, testicles, and anal violation. https://soccermoviemom.com/grimsby-2016
I just watched "Soccer's Hard Men" (1992), a compilation of dirty tricks, hard tackles, and punches that were fair game then but would all be send-offs today. A 26yo Vinnie Jones gives his honest insider opinion. But I couldn't find any info on who produced and directed this British documentary. Anyone know? I'm really curious who made this film and why. This film would make great referee training.

I've only seen rumors there is such a movie. I haven't seen any mention of a director for it, so I don't believe it's a real project.
Underdogs (2013) - aka Metegol - is entertaining clever family fun. As far as I know, it is the first soccer movie that is an animated full-length feature film. Foosball figures come to life to try and defeat a real soccer team led by a Zlatan-Ronaldo type player. Film directed by Juan José Campanella. Now on Netflix! Watch it! https://soccermoviemom.com/underdogs-2013
There is a Zidane movie where it is a overhead footage of his last game for Real Madrid... peep that.
Want to catch up on your FIFA corruption? @levraijeanlouis's documentary "Planet FIFA" covers it in just 94 minutes. Worth your time and has info and interviews that I hadn't seen. Really made me mad about the FIFA self-dealing under the guise of "Fair Play". Right now an English language version is on Netflix. My review is at: https://soccermoviemom.com/planet-fifa-2016
yeah, just the rumors, but i heard that Cr7 will appear in this movie...hope it will be the real project
I think it wasn't a movie to truly enjoy ... but more of a historical film to get footage of one of the all time greats in a unique way. It is sad that we live in a era now that-that camera work is frowned upon now or viewed as a disappointment. But in 20+ years we will look back, and be happy that this was produced. Zidane will always be one of the best, and if nothing, this is a awesome inventive idea that captured his talents.
