Hey guys, didnt see a thread for this. Seeing as the season just started we better start talking.
Who wins this years league? Who gets relegated? I saw some of the Shamrock Rovers game two weeks ago when it was on TV. They look like they have a chance at winning, either that or Shelbourne are just plain terrible.

Sligo to win, Derry will run them closest but it wont be that close id say. Relegation between Shelbourne, UCD and Bray with Bohs not far above. From 3rd-8th will be tight Both louth clubs, Cork City, St. Pats and Shamrock Rovers all close together.

I see UCD are struggling, but are planning to expand the Bowl. That's good, I guess.

Eventually in LOI terms means never.

All Ireland final on saturday. Winning it could mean our season gets the boost it needs.

Some tough draws for LOI clubs in Europe this season! Highlight is Sligo vs Molde (Norway) in the Champions League

St. Pats should beat the Lituanian team alright an progress to the 2nd round, Drogheda have no chance vs Malmo and Derry have no Chance vs Turkish Trazispor. Sligo are unlikely to progress despite Molde not being on form soo far this season. Former Man Utd striker old Gunner Solskier is with them but he is well past it at this stage and its the rest of their squad which is the worry.

We gotta hope for St.Pats and Sligo then. Derry btw could get hammered by the Turks

St. Pat's play Zalgiris in Lithuania tonight, while Drogheda host Malmo.

Good result for St.Pats, a draw and 2 away goals give them a good chance in the 2nd leg. I think the 0-0 draw with Malmo is good for Drogheda as Malmo are a better team clearly.

I was at the Drogs vs Malmo game and Malmo were on top for the first 20-25mins beforeDrogs came into the game and it was fairly even till about the 65th min when Drogheda had a player sent off for a second yellow card ard done well to hold on. I think Malmo will progress in the second leg.

It was a great effort by Drogs, if Malmo go through it will not be by much

And St. Pat's lost 2-1 at home to Zalgiris. Very disappointing.

Sligo lost 1-0 to Molde at home. Not shaping up to be a very good year for LOI clubs in Europe. Last time a single team failed to advance in a Euro tie was 1999.

Sligo are out, 3-0 on agg. to Molde. Derry are the last LOI team in Europe, and they go into tonight with a 4-2 deficit to Trabzonspor

Derry out, 2-0 loss at home, league ranking is going to drop to about 41st best league, this will mean no team will be in the second qualifying round of the Europa league automatically like Derry were this year.

U19 manager Stuart Ashton has taken over till the end of the season. Good choice but if he is to continue next year he has to get a pro coaching badge.
