You must ne kidding me right? Have you watched any Porto games this year against some of the smaller clubs? I don't think you have, otherwise you would know that they have played Porto extremely tough this year, combined with the fact that the refs have been also calling tough games against Porto so they don't look like they were involved in any corruption - and as a result Porto has not received any favors from smaller clubs this year. Any club that has dominated Portugal the last 2 years and also won European Titles - is not going to have an easy ride in their leauge, as all teams will be out to get them.

    I agree with you!
Benfica showed a lot of personality after Leiria's Goal, and showed very good Football in the last 30 minutes of the 1st half. Costinha made the difference.

Anyway, I've seen few analysis on the players... here goes some:

    Rocha played well but is to blame on Leiria's goal;
NAssis made is 3rd consecutive game with not enough talent to play in the 1st eleven. I would rather see karadas assist Gomes or Mantorras winnig free-kicks and corners then seing Assis playing like that. Easter break made him loose regularity? I mean, others were playing in the NT - he was having a rest :p
Miguel is only able to play 1 hour. That was visible once again yesterday.
João Paulo is still from sporting? Bolloni wanted this kid badly, if I recall. He has enouugh quality for this benfica. Much better then Alcides.
    LAranjeiro played ok too.
    Costinha, superb.

Trap should of replace Assis first then Geovani that was playing ok in the right side. It's funny to see that the more we attack (supporters style), the more problems the team has to win (remeber Marítimo?). Was defensive Trap right all along?

There's a difference between playing poorly, which was Porto is doing (remember 3 coaches), and little teams taking advantage of it, and what Benfica did, the last couple of games where thet played great and 2 teams played their hearts off (nothing against that). Playing against BEnfica is a motivation not like playing against other teams. That's what I am saying.

As far referees, you must have some guts saying that Porto did not get any help from the refs this year. Not as much as expected compared to previous years, but the candy store is closed.

With the apito dourado, the refs are making their common mistakes, like any human they are not perfect. And all teams are getting benefits from calls. Not only Benfica, but Porto and SPorting also. It is just the nature of it. We only see when our team gets the short end of the stick. And some people are not able to admit

This isn't directed towards any Benfiquistas in general, except Brian de Sousa and metro fan...

Some of your heads are SSSSSSSSOOOOOOO FAR up your asses I don't know if it's possible to retract them out. I mean for god's sake, I don't think even ferreiraj has been so damn hypocritical and with his head in the damn sky (no offense to ferreira).

Seriously. Porto and Sporting is just another game and Benfica isn't? Guess which teams in Portuguese Futebol have gotten to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup in the last 2 years? Not Benfica, I can tell you that much.

I guess Vitoria de Setubal was just sandbagging it when they beat Sporting at Alvalade, right? I guess Beira-Mar was just sandbagging when they(we) beat Porto at the Dragao (and will god willingly repeat the feat at home this upcoming week). I guess Nacional was resting its players when it beat Porto 4-0.

Seriously, the amount of stupidity each of both of "yous guyses" posts brings to this thread is astonishing. Seriously; all you do is bitch and moan and gripe and fight over other teams getting benefited. Stop being a bunch of classless victims. You guys sound like DDC for god's sake, and that's pretty damn pathetic. So cynical about everything. But when it's Benfica doing the screwing it's all good then, and even then you don't just stay quiet but you act like you have a valid point.

Each and every one of us has at one point during this season felt screwed by poor reffing. And believe you me when I say I have felt it A LOT MORE than any Benfiquista, Portista, or Sportinguista. (not even gonna touch on your retarded little theories about teams resting for opponents because like I just said it's so god damn retarded)

You ever hear the saying don't throw stones from inside the glass house? Well, this isn't that witty at all but it gets across the message; don't park in a handicapped space and pretend to limp.

    Relax son.

I'm just here replying to some posts that's all. The first posts here in this thread are from Portistas pointing out that Benifca gets benefits on calls. Then you get another post talking about how Benfica will be garaunteed 3 points from Estoril because of ties between the two clubs.

So, I reply to those posts and this of course gives fereirrajl the go ahead to post one of his photos that he can't wait to post when the opportunity comes up. Then it's all thrown back at us Benfiquistas here saying that we are the whiners and moaners while the Portistas are somehow the victims of all this.

Like Old Dirty Bastard said, "Love mah ni**as, but ni**a please."

I'm sorry, after you pretended to be black in the first sentence I completely didn't care what you had to say. "Please try again later."

I don't get it either. All I did was quote ODB. It seems like the guy flat out stated he didn't read my response because he thought it was too "black". That is a bit racialist, innit?

I guess. I'm going to close this thread. I think it's run its course.
