Poor Sky Blue. Nobody pays much attention to them here. I'll opine that Katie Freels may be earning a callup to the National team. Along with Winters of Seattle and Buzcowski from KC, Freels deserves a tryout for the National Team. Nadim hopefully will score goals in quantity again this year. What's happened to Taylor Lytle? I have heard nothing about her -- although she's still on the roster.
My plan this season is to attend some games at Yurcak field. I'll try to keep this place active. SBFC has made huge strides this year especially on social media. They have a team that is good in almost all areas (maybe a little thin on defenders until the Aussies return) and promises to be exciting this year with Nadim and Kerr up front. I expect them to make the playoffs easily this year.
To be fair... not many people pay attention to them in NJ either... Maybe she hasn't been cleared to play yet?
Have any of you seen any of the pre-season games. If so, what are your thoughts on Killion so far? The team twitter acct seem to be high on her and Freels in the middle.
Well she is with the team as the below picture indicate. Now it is not known whether her team mates are carrying her because she is still injured or it is some wierd birthday celebration in Jersey. Birthday love for @Taylor_Lytle! pic.twitter.com/AMpkUVAWXy— NJ/NY Gotham FC (@GothamFC) March 31, 2015
I haven't seen any of the preseason games, but Killion is a boss. Seeing how she played for UCLA, I had no worries how she'd do in the NWSL.
