FWIW, there is a toggle width at the very bottom of the page. It doesn't get rid of that unnecessary column though.

I concur that the way quoted text is done (smaller gray italics indented) is too subtle. The old system had boxes drawn around the quotes didn't it? Whatever it did allowed the quotes to really stand apart from the newly written response.

I tried "toggle width" button. It widened my posts by maybe 1/4"? Seems to have very limited value. Especially if you have to do it on a thread-by-thread basis?

Is this what you want on a soccer site?

(Not necessarily the political tone, just the fact that the NSR stuff is showing. I'm not sure it should.)

    Also,

I click the "1" on the flag and the left "1" disappears. I know it's two ways to get the same result, but it's a trifle misleading. It's easy to think something is broken when a notification disappears without accessing it. Screenshot_20170320-104212.png

The only place I have found it useful are touch devices where I believe it moves the green arrows.

Would it be possible to put the breadcrumbs thing back at the bottom of the page? I like the ability to scroll down a thread, then click the link to return to the forum to find a new thread. Now, I have to scroll all the way up to the top every time.

Is there still no (easy) way to list a 2nd club under your avatar?

Edit: In other news, the green arrows are helpful. Thanks!

I don't have a "toggle width" at the bottom, or whatever is taking up space called the "right column." The posts and responses are page-wide for me, using a PC. (I have not yet been on via Android, yet, so that may be what some of y'all are talking about.)

I don't know if this because I'm a mod, but when somebody deletes a post, that deleted post needs to be made smaller. It is distracting, and sometimes there are a string of mod-deleted posts and that notable "DELETED" in red would add to the break in flow.

A big problem is with readability. One way to solve that: Get rid of this stupid sans serif font and go back to ... pretty much anything with a serif. There's a reason why books, newspapers, and magazines don't use sans serif fonts.

Yeah, my team has been lost in a storm lately. So I decided to pick myself up a bit with a reminder of my favorite player from bygone days.

p.s. I wasn't bitching, I was just asking whether you could list 2 clubs. Honest.

Agree with requests to get rid of the right hand column.

I'm on a desktop and the whole thing just looks to busy and noisy now. It was much easier to read before. Sorry!

Hmm, what browser are you on? I'm on a PC with Chrome and this is what I see: (Toggle Width icon bottom left, and right-hand column)

I've noted in several posts which have quoted text/images that the "click to expand" is in the middle and over some of the quoted text. If the "click to expand" could be moved, maybe to the right, or below the box, it would be better. Or maybe put in a small bar at the bottom of the quoted text/image, that would made readability better.

I usually click on the "jump to most recent post" round button, but it's squeezed in this iteration, making it more difficult. Also, much less messages per screen, so squeeze the elements a bit more if possible.
