Honestly, the sidebar wouldn't be as big of a deal if it (1) wasn't so obtrusive [make it narrower if you're not going to get rid of it] and (2) made the posts and reply window more narrow simply because it exists. It's dominating your page and overtaking the forum itself which is why we're here in the first place.

One more vote for restoring the breadcrumbs (Home > Forums > Forumname > Subforumname) at the bottom of the page in addition to having them at the top.

Yea this is annoying. If you enter a thread via a top of the page link then it stays on top but if you enter it via a "last read" link then the sidebar will scroll along with you. And since the second option is the usual way to enter a thread (for me at least) it makes the option pretty useless atm.

You're getting old. The update 2 or 3 versions ago was worse, and included ads between posts - it was Facebook-like. It was so bad I think we lost long standing posters because of it.

Weird thing just happened: I was in the middle of creating a post in a thread, but I got sidetracked, so it was saved in the reply area. I went to return about 10 minutes later to finish my thought and post, but then it wouldn't let me. I was able to type in words, but it wouldn't let me post it. No matter how many times I hit Post Reply, it refused to post. I copied what I typed, then refreshed the page. After the refresh, where I left off before I got sidetracked was saved, but nothing else I typed after was saved, even though the little disappearing icon said "Saved". I removed the saved portion and pasted what I copied, and then it posted.

Glitchy? I just duplicated your previous concern.

I was having difficulty repping posts. Seems like a behind-the-scenes modification was occurring.

    "paycheck"

All - hold off for a few minutes. I'm creating the new thread and need to format it. Also READ THOUGH THE LIST OF ISSUES - it is longer than I realized. There were a few issues which were worded differently, but ended up being the same issue.
