So now I’m even more upset by the decision to choose this POS by KHSAA. That company had a version of the new style jersey already there and we still went with this thing.

I feel rather betrayed by my state.

Watching a football game and then a baseball game the other day, I realized that in virtually every other sport there is ONE uniform for officials.

I was talking to my old supervisor for HS soccer. He's a journeyman and does other sports including football and softball. This was back in 2014 and he was telling me about a discussion with a fellow official from his football crew. They got talking about the WC and his observation was why we're the officiating crews wearing different colors? Is it to denounce merit and rank? Similar to a white hat/black hat etc in football. After explaining it to him they're all the same rank but to contrast more against the teams. The football man had the comment that the crew in green had a much better performance than the crew in blue (in the round of 16). He was referencing Howard Webb in the Brazil v. Chile and Proneca in the Netherlands v. Mexico ;):D

Most other sports don’t have the official running out among the players either. They are at the periphery or in a position that keeps them far out of play.

Baseball even has an official in a mask so we don't know who he is. ;)

I can’t believe this is the Jersey KHSAA came up with. Very disappointed in this ugly shirt. I would have been fine with the all green and matching socks lol. I also would have been ok with all fuscia or type of purple but this is a disaster.

Seems rather dated and Blocky design. Missouri was originally only going to offer a short sleeve and have us wear black under garments. I would like to know who was on THAT committee??

Our association has some jerseys on hand for fitting purposes prior to ordering. Hope to see in person and maybe they'll look better.

Purely hypothetically, if the samples were to disappear for some strange reason, would that bring the ordering process to a halt?

FYI: I tried on samples of the new shirts and they seem run small. Everyone who was there had to bump up a size. Small to Medium, XL to 2XL, etc. We only had short sleeve version.

So I just decided to count my uniforms. I got 14 in my bag/closet/laundry. Does not count the ones in my car or my sons room. And I have given away at least 6 in the last 6 months.

Only 2 are the "new" style yellow.

The silver lining is I actually bought very few of these. We got 5 full sets from attending ref camp. Others were given to me from refs hanging it up. And a bunch were bought cheap from craigs list.

And then I found my favorite whistle and $60 in the pocket of one of them.
    yee-haw!
