When drunk enough - I will randomly start singing FAITH at the top of my lungs. If any of the hinchada want to join in, so be it. If not, I guess you don't have faith.

However, if Nobius starts belting out Journey songs as the top of his lungs, I think we might see the first fan on fan violence in the stands at a Dynamo game.

Ladies - sing along with me:

WELL I GUESS IT WOULD BE NICE...
If I could touch your body
    I know not everybody
Has got a body like you

But I've got to think twice
Before I give my heart away
And I know all the games you play
    Because I play them too

Oh, but I, need some time off from that emotion
Time to pick my heart up off the floor
And when that love comes down
    Without devotion
Well it takes a strong man baby
But I'm showing you the door

    'Cause I gotta have faith...

    Baby
I know you're asking me to stay
Say please, please, please, don't go away
You say I'm giving you the blues
    Maybe
You mean every word you say
Can't help but think of yesterday
And another who tied me down to loverboy rules

    Before this river
    Becomes an ocean
Before you throw my heart back on the floor
    Oh baby I reconsider
    My foolish notion
Well I need someone to hold me
But I'll wait for something more

    Yes I've gotta have faith...

LMAO, I just hope no one ever starts singing WHAM songs. That would call for extreme retaliation.

    I'm all for Italian!!!

And if it wasn't for the non-HPD rent-a-cops at Robertson, then I'd be pushing flares and vespas.

This is as close to a song thread as I could find to post this.....

I was coming to work this morning and heard a good song on 106.9, my new favorite station (alternative hits from the 80s and 90s, and no talk, the best part http://1069thezone.com/splashpage/index.html) that would work good at games.... Orange Crush by REM. At first I was thinking it would be a good song to play in the stadium, then it occurred to me that the first couple of lines, ("Follow me, don't follow me, I've got my spine, I've got my orange crush") would be good for fans to sing.... it's sort of familiar, it sounds pretty cool, and you could stress the "orange crush" part. Honestly, I have no idea what it's about, but the words sound pretty cool. And people should like the part about "high on booze." I think maybe it's about Vietnam? Not sure....

and I didn't notice that this thread was in the supporter's board until I posted it.....

The only thing the masses will sing will be super simplistic chants that need no explanation.

You can hardly get "let's go dynamo" to run more than one minute right now.

Well 204 will be showing you that you're wrong....

But the whole song would be a good song to play in the stadium.

People that are organized is a different topic than what you're suggesting. You aren't even proposing a song people know.

Yea, I figured it from some of the lines, but it's not blatantly anti-war or anything, I think it's ambiguous enough to serve as a Dynamo song...

Like I said, I don't think anybody's going to sing the whole song, nobody knows it but I think it's a song that when people hear it it might be familiar to a lot of folks. And the "Orange Crush" tag line is very clear throughout.

And again I think those first 2 lines that end with "Orange Crush" would be easy to organize for a group of talented, spirited people like all of us in 204.

Lacking any other song written specifically for the Dynamo (other than the Who? Houston Dynamo! Mike Jones classic) I'm pushing this one. :D

I am fine with spanish songs but could we come up with a few more original ones?

I am tired of hearing the same songs as LA and Chicago or songs that sound weirdly familiar to songs from quinceaneras and mexican birthday parties when i was growing up.

    Here's a start:

    1. Follow you, we follow you
    2. I've got my team, I've got my Orange Crush
    3. Can't you see, we'll always be
    4. I've got my team, I've got my Orange Crush
    5. Singing for your victory
    6. I've had my fun and now its time to
    7. Show you how much we believe
    8. Dale Houston, Dale Dynamo

One problem is going to be the transitions between lines 2 and 4 into 3 and 5. In the original song, lines 3 and 5 start during the word Crush. Waiting until those lines end makes the song sound kind of stilted. In addition, line 8 is sung to the same tune as 1, 3 and 5.

Feel free to do with it as you will. Not a bad tune though in my opinion. Good find.

Correction. Line 8 is sung to the same tune as 2 and 4.

Spanish, English, Chinese, Portuguese, German, French, or Catalan in the end we're all singing for the same team!

Just give me a song and I don't care the language as long as I can sing for mi Naranja!

    Simple little Dynamo chant:

GOALS!!!....GOALS!!!....GOALS!!!(Shouting 3 times with slight pause in between)
GO DYNAMO, SCORE THEM GOALS (Singing fast)
GOAL!!!....GOALS!!!....GOALS!!!(Shouting 3 times with slight pause in between)
PUT THOSE SHOTS BETWEEN THOSE POLES (Singing fast)

    Repeat as needed.

Please.... Please.... somebody help me with this one.
I love a song that the fans of Sevilla (Spain) sing called "Vamos mi Sevilla", it's short and catchy and I really think that we can come up with some version of it for the Houston Dynamo.

This is what they say: "Lo lo lo lo, Lo lo lo lo lo lo, vamos mi Sevilla, vamos campeon"
I think we could change it to "Lo lo lo lo, Lo lo lo lo lo lo, what's the best team?, Houston Dynamo"

Watch the first 30 seconds of this clip
