"I plan on taking the first month out, and getting in about three reserve games for fitness to lead me into the first team." That's from August 9th so he should start playing reserve games in a week or two

They've already got Yassin Moutaouakil, Ben Thatcher, Paddy McCarthy, Chris Powell, Madjid Bougherra, Osei Sankofa, José Semedo, and Jonathan Fortune. I think its Moutaouakil who's out injured now, which may be a reason for more signings. I put all the defenders on there, because I think Gibbs is flexible enough to play anywhere on the back line. I'm at the point of wondering if we're gonna see Gibbs play for Charlton. It certainly doesn't look likely this year.
I know we've heard from the man himself in the US soccer press, but has anyone at Charlton actually mentioned him in a while? Silence can be telling.
Every Saturday morning before the games I go to Charlton's website and look for news on Gibbs, and there never is any. He's never mentioned as even being a possibility for the lineup. Here is the reserves schedule, and as you can see they've only played one reserves match. He wasn't in the squad. And they don't have another reserves game until Sept. 10th!!
