Nicklas Carlsson signs a 3 year contract with Ifk. He´s a former Aik-player. It feels somewhat strange to have a player with a big aik-heart in our team. But with his enormous winner-mentality he will allways be a good complement in any team. Very strong defensively. I have a questionmark conserning his passingabilities though. I´m shure he´s a good signing although he comes from aik

Welcome to the forum! Is this thread ment as a list for all rumours and half-lies or signed deals?

After Brann won the league, there have been rumours from east to west concerning our players. Daniel Fredheim Holm (Vålerenga) and Lars Ivar Strand (Tromsø) have so far been linked to us.

    Søren Åkeby to Aalesund

The 55-yo former Djurgårdens IF (1999-2003), AGF Aarhus (2003-2005) and Malmø FF (2006-2007) head coach Søren Åkeby has signed a 2-year contract with the Norwegian Tippeliga side Aalesund. Åkeby helped Djurgården to one Swedish Cup victory and two Swedish championships in 2002 plus 2003 and was also selected as Swedish Coach of the Year" twice. He is going to replace Per Joar Hansen who has decided not to extend his contract with Aalesund.

Darwin methods, tough winter training and the Ajax-system awaits in Aalesund.....

When Åkeby and Zoran Lukic took over as coaches at Djurgården in 1999, it was a club in great debts and confusion, so Åkeby and Lukic were more or less starting from scratch, getting rid of most of the players and won the club promotion to Allsvenskan in 2000, while picking up and developing players like Andreas Isaksson, Kim Källström, Johan Elmander, Andreas Johansson and Mikael Dorsin, which the next 3 years lead to a Silver medal and two Swedish Championships in a row, using the 4-3-3 Ajax-system which Åkeby prefer. However, after the two coaches split up and Åkeby left Djurgården in 2003, it has been down hill for Åkeby, coaching Danish AGF Aarhus and Swedish Malmø FF.

Charles Darwin method : The strong "survive", the weak will "die"- "I do a very thorough research on each player..and I dont need players who think they cant do it...only players who are sure in every thing they do" Åkeby said when he moved to Danish AGF Aarhus... and so, like in Djurgården, he got rid of alot of players to build up a new team.

Åkeby also promised a Danish Championship within 3 years and introduced a physical very tough winter training without using a ball for the most part, which became a subject for much ridicule by the Danish media and very much criticized by other Superliga coaches. His stay at AGF became one big fiasco. Known as the 4-3-3 "kamikaze" coach who seemed to have no clue about the defensive aspects of the game and hardly ever using the same lineup two games in a row, Åkeby left the club for Malmø FF in 2005 in mid season, with AGF heading for the very first relegation since professional football was legislated in Denmark in the 70's. Also his stay at Malmø FF never became the success they had hoped. The question is now how he will do at a smaller club like Aalesund ?.

    Hans Eklund negotiating with Viborg

Both the Viborg FF management and the assistent coach Hans Eklund at Swedish Helsingborgs IF now confirm that they are negotiating a contract, so that the former Allsvenskan topscorer (of 1992) and Viborg FF legend could be the one replacing fellow Swede Anders Linderoth to become new head coach at Viborg FF. The rumour is that the new assistent coach at Viborg is to be the 35-yo former Danish International, Superliga topscorer and Viborg legend Søren Frederiksen who at the moment is head coach at Danish 2nd level side Skive IK.

Garra Dembélé released from his contract

The 21-yo former French U18, U19 and U20 international Garra Dembélé has been released from his contract after a very short stay at Danish Superliga side AGF Aarhus.

The former Malmø FF defender has been told that he is no longer needed at Brøndby and is able to leave on a free transfer. Elanga has won 17 caps for Cameroon.

New player on the way to Brøndby ??...

According to the danish newspaper BT, then the 30-yo danish defender Brian Priske is very much wanted by danish Superliga side Brøndby IF. Priske has won 23 caps for Denmark and has 2½-year left of his contract with Belgium side Club Brugge, so it could be difficult for Brøndby secure a transfer.

Also the talented 24-yo Ajax/Sparta Rotterdam midfielder Michael Krohn-Dehli, the 27-yo Icelandic International (24 caps, 2 goals) Kristján Örn Sigurðsson ( SK Brann), the 27-yo Swedish midfielder Mattias Lindström (who now is set to leave AaB Aalborg), the 29-yo Norwegian defender Frode Kippe (Lillestrøm), 30-yo defender Atle Roar Håland and 25-yo midfielder Fredrik Strømstad (both from IK Start) and the 26-yo Swedish-Ethiopian defender Benjamin Kibebe (Ålesund) are said to be on Brøndbys wanted list.

    Urmas Rooba handed free transfer

The 29-yo Estonia international (68 caps, 1 goal) and former FC København defender Urmas Rooba has been handed a free transfer by the Danish 2nd level side Vejle BK. He has just returned from a short loan deal at Finish top-level side TPS Turku, but is now free to leave the club.

Maybe Elanga should consider going back to Malmö ff again. He might not be good enough for the danish league. But shurely good enough for the swedish Allsvenskan. He has proved that before.

Simon Poulsen sold to AZ Alkmaar

According to Danish superliga side FC Midtjyllands own official website, they have just made their biggest transfer deal ever by selling the talented 23-yo Danish NT winger Simon Poulsen to the Dutch Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar.

The deal is said to be worth around $5.2 million (DKK 27 million), which is a bit more than when FCM sold Mohahmed Zidan to Werder Bremen some years ago. Simon Poulsen has so far won 3 caps for the Danish NT and also played for the Danish League NT against the USMNT in January this year.

    http://www.az.nl/index.php?module=news&articleID=22166

To replace Simon Poulsen, FCM have signed a 3-year contract with the 29-yo Norwegian winger Petter Furuseth Olsen from the Danish Superliga side Viborg FF. The transfer fee is said to be around $900k (between DKK 4.5 - 5 million). At the same time FCM have send the 24-yo forward Christian Olsen on loan to Viborg FF for the rest of this season. FCM are also reported to be highly interested in the 25-yo Danish winger Anders Due from the Dutch Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem.

    Max Von Schlebrügge to Brøndby

Anderlecht have sold their 30-yo Swedish International (6 caps) Max Von Schlebrügge to Danish side Brøndby. According to bold.dk. Teddy Bjarnason to move on loan from Celtic to IFK Goteborg.

20-year old Icelandic midfielder will move on loan to the Allsvenskan champions next season. He is regarded as a huge talent for the future at Celtic and will be a good signing for IFK. Teddy was named Man of the Match on his first full debut against Hibernian and he has had a full international cap with Iceland where, even though his team were heavily beaten by Sweden, he was voted best player in the Icelandic team.

    Niki Zimling finished at Esbjerg

The very talented 22-yo Esbjerg Captain Niki Zimling still got 1-year left of his contract and despite saying that he want to move abroad, he has so far rejected all offers, saying that he want to leave Esbjerg in the summer when he is less expensive and free to negotiate, or leave when his contract expire. However, just as it was the case with the former Esbjerg midfielder Jerry Lucena, then Zimling now has been told by Esbjerg sporting director Niels Erik Søndergaard that he is either going to take one of the fairly many offeres in this transfer window, or else he could be finished at Esbjerg and going to get benched the last 12 month of his contract.

    Rosenborg hand control to Hamrén

Rosenborg BK have appointed Erik Hamrén, currently in charge of Danish league leaders Aalborg BK, as their new coach.

    Aalborg success
The 50-year-old Swede will remain with AaB for the remainder of the season before taking control at Rosenborg on 1 June 2008. "I think it is a terrific challenge," he said, having agreed a two-year contract. "Rosenborg are a great club in Scandinavia and are respected across Europe too." Hamrén, in his fifth campaign in Aalborg, has not only established his team as Superligaen pacesetters; they also competed in the UEFA Cup group stage having qualified through the UEFA Intertoto Cup. They will resume their season in March.

    Rosenborg instability
Rosenborg, 20-times Norwegian champions, finished their 2007 league campaign in fifth place, 13 points behind Tippeligaen winners SK Brann. Hamrén will replace acting coach Trond Henriksen, who stood in for Knut Tørum when the latter resigned in October. Rosenborg will play ACF Fiorentina in the UEFA Cup's Round of 32.

    Ønsket tilbake til Blackburn

Like før jul reiste Anders Karlsen til Blackburn for å spille reservelagskamp. Nå ønsker storklubben å ha Karlsen hos seg i hele januar.
    Av Stian Høgland

    * Breive fristes av Glimt

Denne gangen i hele januar.

Its about Bodø/Glimt player Anders Karlsen who has been on a weeks trial with blackburn plaing for there U18 team.

He has now been offerd a future 1 month trial.

He is not sure if he is going to accept it depends on how it fit inn with school and his plans with Glimt

He is also worried that he migth not be fit during that trial since he is atm inn off season.

Finaly he says it feels good that a team like blackburn is intrested and he thinks it woude be intresing and fun to stay inn england for an extended period of time.

Not a word for word translation but it get at the essence of the article.

Rosenborg is looking at Finnish midfielder, Juska Savolainen. Last year, Savolainen played the the Finnish champions, Tampere United.

Don't know the chances of Savolainen has any chance joining RBK. The club is low on players and they have a UEFA Cup run to think about.

Do you have any addisonal info about Savolainen ?

Personaly i think he will have a really hard time getting a contract or anyplaying time if he gets a contract. We have many good midfielders and ouer attackers a good to.
What we need are new defenders.

Kristofer Hæstad and Bengt Sæternes to Vålerenga

Norwegian side IK Start have sold their 24-yo midfielder Kristofer Hæstad to Vålerenga for a NOK 10 million ($1.8 million) transfer fee. Hæstad has won 22 caps and scored 1 goal for Norway. He was selected as Norwegian Tippeliga 'Midfielder of the year' in 2005 and in 2007 he went on a short 6-month loan deal to English PL side Wigan Athletic.

Danish Superliga side OB Odense have agreed to sell their 33-yo Norwegian striker Bengt Sæternes to Vålerenga. Sæternes moved to Odense from Norwegian side Brann only 6 month ago, signing a 3-year contract, but he was struck by injuries and never really became the expected success, scoring 1 goal in the 9 Superliga games he got to play for OB. The transfer fee has not been disclosed, but is rumoured to be around $300k. Sæternes has won 7 caps for Norway and according to Bold.dk he has scored 107 goals in 211 games in the Norwegian Tippeliga.

Beckmann and Aabech on the move

The 24-yo right/left winger Mikkel Beckmann and forward Kim Engel Aabech may have played their last Superliga match. The two talented Lyngby players have both been selected for the Danish League NT squad and now several Danish and foreign clubs are trying to get their names on a contract. According to the big Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet, then Beckmann admit that the Italian clubs Reggina, Livorno, Chievo and Udinese are showing interest, while Lyngby are rumoured to be asking for around $1.1 million for each of their two key players, to let them go.

    Two Nigerians to Esbjerg
Danish Superliga side Esbjerg have signed 1-year deals with the two young Nigerians, the 21-yo defender Samuel Agba from AB København and the 20-yo Ølstykke forward Emmanuel Ukpai who is said to be very fast and a real entertainer and crowd pleaser. Njogu Demba-Nyrén to SK Brann

Danish Superliga side Esbjerg have sold 28-yo Njogu Demba-Nyrén to Norwegian Tippeliga side SK Brann and the two clubs have agreed on a $1.8 million (DKK 9 million) transfer fee. The controversial Gambian/Swedish forward was a big success while playing at Greek top-flight side Aris Thessaloniki in 2002/03, but then ran into trouble at Panathinaikos and has shown lack of discipline while staying at Danish side Esbjerg, though getting to play 61 Superliga games, scoring 21 goals and attracting some interest from other Superliga teams.

    Ulrik Laursen to Rosenborg ?

According to fairly reliable rumours (and the player himself), then OB Odense have refused a $1.6 million (DKK 8 million) offer from Rosenborg on their almost 32-yo central defender and Captain Ulrik Laursen. However, the two clubs are still said to be in negotiations over the transfer fee. The former Hibernian and Celtic defender has been a key player in defense for OB Odense the past few years and won 3 caps for Denmark.
