There's an upscale outdoor shopping development here in Atlanta named Atlantic Station. Was out shopping earlier, and came across a fellow in a LAFC baseball cap.
I can't remember if it's in this thread, but just going through channels I saw an episode of 1st Look from 3/12/16 featuring Cool Jobs had host, Ashley Roberts, training with NYCFC on the field and some e-sports guy representing that team.
Had a CSI marathon on yesterday as background noise. In one episode the kid that found the body was wearing a Beckham-era Galaxy jersey.
I'm watching the Man. U / Arsenal match and saw them advertising their upcoming tour on the field level LED boards. The San Jose Earthquakes were prominently shown as one of the opponents (along with Club America, AC Milan, Liverpool and Real Madrid).
Donald Glover's series Atlanta has a lot of AUFC promo. In the first episode of the second season, they're playing AUFC on FIFA, another episode has them on TV in the background in a bar. I just got to the Barbershop episode, and AUFC gear heavily adorns the barbershop.
This NPR story kinda sounded like a play on words about the local soccer team. D.C. Un-United: Amazon's Second HQ Pits City Vs. Its Suburbs
Walked into a donation center wearing a Timbers t-shirt to drop off some clothes and the man there asked if I was a Timbers fan. After responding "yes" he asked me about Andy Polo. He looked like a middle-aged white man. Asking about the new to this season Peruvian signing. I was amazed that was his follow up question. Edit: And I should add this was after my success move to San Diego.
Just watched on NBC heading into Stanley Cup playoffs, an Xfinity commercial using ESPN footage of a DC United - Atlanta United game. The commercial was being able to use Xfinity's bi-lingual voice commands. (In this case it was to call up soccer stats).
I am at Biltmore House in Asheville NC and i overheard 2 guys carrying on a conversation about Atlanta United and how much they loved them, then i saw a guy in an Orlando City jersey, and i am wearing a Columbus Crew jersey...its quite the hub of MLS action here today.
I was in Pittsburgh on Wed at Dancing Gnome Brewery (outstanding btw) and saw a couple in Atlanta United jerseys. Later that evening at PNC Park (great ballpark) I saw a kid also with an Atlanta United jersey on.
Timbers ad in Portland, Maine... We have never, ever tweeted a picture of one of our advertisements. However. Our special thanks go out to @TimbersFC for placing this absolute beauty today. #OnePortland #RCTID pic.twitter.com/aXqm6ySI4s— Portland Press Herald (@PressHerald) June 30, 2018
I had this wonderful idea for a comedic film. A couple of dopey hipsters in Williamsburg, Brooklyn think that the local scene is getting stale, so they re-locate to the REAL mecca of hipsterdom, Portland. Except they're pretty dumb so they go to Portland, ME instead. A heartwarming tale of cross-cultural understanding and hijinks involving lobster traps results.
Staying in a floating house just north of Knoxville, TN. In the marina while loading in, there was a guy in an FC Cincinnati t-shirt and elsewhere a kid in a Columbus Crew t-shirt.
I see Chicago Fire stuff all the time on random people at my retail job. Unfortunately I am too embarrassed to say hi lol
http://insider.espn.com/chalk/story...nd-legal-college-football-betting-mississippi is titled "'Welcome to Mississippi': Scenes from the sportsbooks." It says: " "It's kind of like the size of my kitchen," said Fast Eddie McKinney, an avid sports bettor from northern Mississippi, who was at the Horseshoe on Saturday afternoon to bet on an MLS game. "We have big kitchens in the south, though." "
