If the Gold Cup expanded to 16 I would like to see North America with 2.5, Central America with 5 and 2 .5 slots and the Caribbean with 7.5. The top 2 North American teams would qualify automatically. The 3rd place North American team would play the 7th place Central American team in a playoff. The 8th place team in the Caribbean cup would playoff against the 6th place Central American team. The Central American and the Caribbean cups would continue as normal.
Couldn't agree with you more. Seems simple enough but sometimes the easiest things are the hardest to get done.
