    hello,

i'm an italian football fan and i'm interested at the origin of football teams

could you tell me about the origin of the French clubs shirt?
why a club adopted its colours?

    thanks.

    Lyon, France
    Nat'l Team:
    France
    Marseille: white and sky blue
Colours of the city of Marseille since the 12th century.

    Paris: blue and red
Colours of the city since 1358.

    Lyon: red, blue and white
Red and blue are the colours of the city.
The red is the colour of the Kingdom of Bourgogne in the High Middle Age.
The blue is the colour of the King of France.
The white was the colour of FC Lyon that played the Cup final in 1918.

Bordeaux: navy blue and white with a scapular
The colours come from a local club, l'Argus Sport, that merged with the Girondins in 1919. The scapular appears in 1938 when it was fashion.

    Monaco: red and white
Traditional Grimaldi family's coat of arms. The cesura was designed by princess Grace herself.

    Auxerre: white
To spend less money in lighting. Guy Roux powa. ^^

But PSG has three colours: red, blue and white. Red and blue the City of Paris, and I've read somewhere the white came from the municipality of Saint-Germain.

In http://www.wysjg.com/ I saw most of the physical map.
French club and national team football shirt does not stay open blue.
I think the blue for France should have a different meaning!
