The Sheer Muppetry Eliminator-Cup Will Kick off in week 6. The Rules are simple. The team with the lowest score in a given game week will be eliminated. You do not get to carry additional points forward, so a high score one week guarantees nothing as you can still be eliminated the next week just as easily as anyone else. In the event two or more teams are tied, then the tiebreakers will be: 1. Which team scored more points without captain points being doubled? 2. Which team scored more points without the benefit of auto-subs? 3. Which team had more points scored by its bench? The team that has scored fewer points on any of these levels is the team that is eliminated. The other team(s) survive and live to fight on. If these 3 tiebreakers do not break the tie, then the all tied teams will be eliminated. Depending on how many teams are eliminated, Bye weeks will be granted to the remaining teams until competition is back on course with teams to week ratio.
Ok , so we have 24 teams .... Do I re-adjust the start date or leave it as ? If left as is, any possible double game weeks at the end of the Season are removed from the scenario ... Time to go & have a think.....
Allows teams to settle down after the first of international breaks 38 weeks , 32 teams normally ...... means final week is the decider .... 38 weeks 24 teams this year .... so week 30 is the final week this year bar any ties ...

I just calculated GW16 scores and we had a tie for low score of 22 by both FC Epikoinos and Real Newark. Both teams had 2 capt points, neither team had any sub points, and the benches for both teams scored 9. By my reading of the rules, both teams are eliminated in GW16 and GW17 becomes a bye week for the rest of the teams still in the competition.
